When I was a kid, black parents routinely educated their children to steer away from that sort of behavior, which was looked down upon universally in our community.
Just as the Hollywood / Madison Ave. culture has corrupted the broader US, the urban ghetto thug model has corrupted the mainstream black sub-culture. The common denominator, of course, is their left-liberal ideology.
You hit the key point in your post. When you were a kid, there were black ‘parents’. In Baltimore, the illegitimacy rate among blacks has hit 90%. That is disaster, pure and simple.
Of course there are few black conservatives, because for most there’s nothing to conserve. No ideal of family, responsibility, sacrifice, honor, etc. It’s beyond sad.
The commissioner of basketball or whatever his title is should step in because Cuban is anti American too and won’t do anything-everyone should boycott their games nothing gets their attention like no revenue!

Cuz David Cone is white. Coleman and Webber were innocent and that was one case, as were many others who were accused for reasons we can only begin to attempt to comprehend.
I disagree. The black sub-culture is by nature, very conservative, clinically speaking. Blacks tend to "stay on the reservation" and not stray far from their established status quo (such as it is).
Politically, blacks are more liberal because they were herded into a monolithic voting block by FDR and LBJ. The liberal Democrats engineered black public opinion to lock them into a state of perceived victimhood, and to rely on the Democrats as the one party that was on their side in America. They were obviously extremely successful with this.
There's a great deal of cultural memory extant among blacks. You may not readily see it among the hip hop gangsta generation, who are mostly the offspring of losers in my generation of baby boomers. But, it's there.
Blacks born before 1960 are well aware of the better nature of their people and history. Those of us who've never lost sight of that, and our collective American heritage, have things of great value to share with the younger generation.
Those of us with children, have already done that in many ways.
Like I explained to a friend the other night, blacks are a bit schizophrenic about America. I liken my people's mixed up mental condition to that of a rebellious teenager. The kid may tell you that he hates his parents, but you know it's not true, and somewhere inside, the kid knows it too.
Let this country be threatened with imminent destruction by an aggressor nation, and you would see black men joining the fight from every corner of America.
The point is, at the core of it, some blacks are living a dramatization of rebellion. Some aren't.
I’ll chip in on that one, plus give him the first year’s rent on a one-room shack.
