JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) Alaska's attorney general says state employees subpoenaed in the investigation of Gov. Sarah Palin will not testify.
In a letter to the Democratic state senator overseeing the investigation, Attorney General Talis Colberg asks that the subpoenas be withdrawn. He also says the employees will not appear before the investigator unless either the full state Senate or the entire Alaska Legislature votes to compel their testimony.

Hopefully this bogus witch hunt will get NIFONGED

I understand. I went to college in Santa Rosa, Ca and let me tell you if I had to read ONE more bumper sticker, or one more computer generated sticker taped to a window and don't even get me started on my upside down American flag waving professor. That's just the small things I guess. I relate.
P.S. Maybe my sticker, “I can't wait to vote for President Bush” made a few enemies.

In the chapter of Nehemiah , Nehemiah continued to rebuild the wall in Jerusalem.
Even though the enemy sent out plans to disrupt, to discourage, to obstruct, Nehemiah refused to give in.
They refused to give into the enemies tricks and bogus fake news, God frustrated the enemies plans and schemes
Let us not give into their tricks and bogus bad news... continue to rebuild the wall.
The enemy can not fight GOD and expect to win, Liberals ? Democrats ? MSM ? you are going down..
Nehemiah 4 verse 1- 19
Opposition to the Rebuilding
1. When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews, 2 and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria, he said, "What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubbleburned as they are?"
3. Tobiah the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, "What they are buildingif even a fox climbed up on it, he would break down their wall of stones!"
4. Hear us, O our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity.
5. Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of [a] the builders.
6. So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart.
7. But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the men of Ashdod heard that the repairs to Jerusalem's walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were very angry.
8 They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it. 9. But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.
10. Meanwhile, the people in Judah said, "The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall."
11. Also our enemies said, "Before they know it or see us, we will be right there among them and will kill them and put an end to the work."
12. Then the Jews who lived near them came and told us ten times over, "Wherever you turn, they will attack us."
13. Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows.
14. After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes."
15. When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to his own work.
16. From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah.
17, who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other,
18. and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me.
19. Then I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. 20 Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!"

So, anyone care to guess which fool(s) are gonna propose a full vote on the state house/senate?
I don’t think French is THAT dumb. If they did, they would fully tip their hands on how one-sided this whole kangeroo court was.

This is good news, but the RATs can still compel Todd Palin to testify unless their entire inquisition is shut down.Spouses can't be compelled to testify against each other. They may be able to ask him what he did ("Nothing"), but I doubt they can ask him anything about her.

One thing keeps running through my mind during this entire non-issue: Has Obama ever been in a position to fire somebody? Outside of “running a campaign”, which is basically a venture in selling yourself to the public.

Makes sense. I read somewhere that Palin filed an ethics complaint against herself, which removes the partisan witch hunt to a more neutral personnel board. Thus, the witnesses will claim that they do not have to testify in this action because the State Senate doesn’t have jurisdiction sans an act of the legislature.

Indeed they were, and I’m sure we can thwart any other junk the Dems hurl at McCain/Palin.

Is this a trick question? :)

It happens to me when I do a ‘post’, and I get a blank page.
My statusbar indicates DONE.
I backpage, and hit post again.
Double posts!
So the next time, I didn’t hit post again, and found it had posted once.
Aha.
Then, I posted, got a blank page, skipped hitting post again, and found no post at all.
Quirky bug, whatever it is.

Nice to see this witch hunt shut down ... BUT you just know the Obama camp (or the whisperers attached to His Holiness’s camp) will say that “they” shut it down because it was getting too close to “the truth.” Classic conspiracy cr*p. Coming soon to a Daily Kos near you.

What needs to be done now, and I hope will be done, is for the AG’s office, elected and government officials who know and have proof this all came from the Obama campaign to come out publicly.
Following that, the Justice Department needs to do an investigation into the handling of this affair and find out who’s hands were greased and for how much. While they’re at it, how about an investigation into Mark Rich’s (wasn’t that his name) who’s sealed divorce records magically appeared, putting Obama into office?
Believe it or not, this isn’t a get-Obama campaign from me, it’s simply being sick to death of politicians talking ethics out their a$$es while behind closed doors using every corrupt, underhanded, illegal method out there to win elections.

McCAIN IN OHIO TODAY:
And lets have some straight talk. Senator Obama is not interested in the politics of hope, hes interested in his political future and thats why he is hurling in insults and making up facts about his record.
Today, he claimed that the Congressional stimulus package was his idea. Thats news to those of us in Congress who supported it. Senator Obama didnt even show up to vote.
He talks a tough game on the financial crisis, but the facts tell a different story. Senator Obama took more money from Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac than anyone but the chairman of the committee they answer to, and he put Fannie Maes CEO, who helped create this problem in charge of finding his Vice President. Thats not change, thats whats broken in Washington.
They have to get this message out strong. In ads, and in the debate.
