Fanny, Freddie, and Obama---- OBAMA MAJOR FUNDRAISERS FRANKLIN RAINES & JIM JOHNSON

The next question is: Why was the Obama campaign so keen on getting advanced word about the bailout?

“They have a huge problem with the mortgage and housing market story, and everyone is missing it,” says a Republican political media consultant with ties to the Obama campaign due to the bipartisan nature of the firm he does work with.

“You look at Obama’s economic advisers, the guys he has counted on from day one and who have raised him a ton — and I mean a ton — of money: Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson, both of them are waist to neck deep in the mortgage debacle.”

Both Raines and Johnson have served as CEO of Fannie Mae, with Raines taking over from Johnson. Both are key political and economic advisers to Obama.

IIRC Raines and Johnson made millions in bonuses when they were at Fannie Mae. Apparently they cooked the books so they could get millions more. Jamie Gorelick too.

Just what you’d expect from Obama’s economic advisors.

Before Fanny Mae Raines had some kind of Wall St job. So did Jim Johnson. Both worked for big Wall St Firms. This is where they learned how to juggle books and rape the Fanny Mae

Total salaries and benefits at Fannie and Freddie for their total terms in office were reported in one article recently as: Gorelick $90 million, Johnson $126 million, and Raines also $126 million. While Mudd and Syron have been challenged on bonuses, the real money has been made in the past at the cumulative salary level. Maybe someone on this board has or will recall even more figures. These people will probably be back in the saddle if Obama wins, and, Islamic interest will probably demand and get a place at the new table at every level they can get in the new administration as well. If the Bush administration has practiced ‘outreach’ to Islamic interests, look for full welcoming envelopment by a Dem administration. Should the Dems win the election, the dead man elected to office will be Mr. Alinsky.

"Before Fanny Mae Raines had some kind of Wall St job."

Before Fanny Mae, Franklin Raines was Bill Clinton's budget director;
THAT's where he learned the fine points of dishonesty and corruption.
At the feet of the Master.

Examples of Democrat corruption.

Wasn't the reason the 2006 elections were nationalized and the full-front campaign was given so much priority, the belief that the Republicans were riddled with corruption? What has happened here? It is now definitely the Democrats who have taken over the monopoly on collecting graft from the government and government-insured coffers, of a degree at least equal to the Enron corruption and the Abramhoff lobbyist blowup. In fact, this may be WAY bigger, in that a number of "ethical" Democrat appointees, officeholders and staffers are involved, and its fallout is going to be far more prolonged than that of Enron.

You saw the pictures of the people walking out of Lehmann Brothers and Bear Stearns. Compare that with the tales of woe told by the former employees of Enron. Then ask yourself, was this more compassionate?

Don’t you think there should be a grassroots effort to contact Jamie Gorelick (Democrat and Obama supporter), Franklin Raines (informal Obama advisor), Jim Johnson (Obama advisor), Daniel Mudd and all the rest of the Fannie Mae/FreddieMac Rogues Gallery of “Friends of Bill and Hill,” as well as Slick Willie and Hillie, and ask them if they will give back all of their many millions of dollars they skimmed from the profits of Fannie and Freddie while they allowed them to continue their bad policies that lead to the current financial mess and ruined many lives of “little people” who will now have a bankruptcy in their personal history?

Jamie Gorelick

Here’s info on Jamie Gorelick and the $26 million she skimmed:

http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2008/09/jamie-gorelick-mistress-of-disaster.html

Jamie Gorelick can receive calls, faxes and letters asking her to give back the $26 million to the government and the taxpayers at:

Jamie Gorelick
Partner
Wilmer Hale
Co-Chair, Defense and National Security Practice Group; Chair, Public Policy and Strategy Practice Group
1875 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20006
jamie.gorelick@wilmerhale.com
+1 202 663 6500 (t) +1 202 663 6363 (f)

http://www.wilmerhale.com/jamie_gorelick/

Gee, I wonder if her law firm partners would like the publicity of the fact that “Master of the Universe” Jamie Gorelick, who took $26 million from FannieMae on top of her $500,000+ salary, is at their law firm? I wonder if WilmerHale is going to get more work from the government to help put FannieMae back in business?

Franklin Delano Raines

Contact Franklin Raines to ask him to give back all of the money he took from FannieMae while at the same time running it into the ground. According to the first article below, Raines got a $114+ PER MONTH pension for life plus all sorts of other goodies in addition to all the other money skimmed from FannieMae:

Details:

http://www.nlpc.org/view.asp?action=viewArticle&aid=738

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2004358433_webraines18.html

Raines also has been giving a lot of that money he got from FannieMae to Democrat Party candidates, $68,500 to Dems, $22,000 to “special interests” and, by comparison, a paltry $6,000 to Republicans:

http://www.newsmeat.com/ceo_political_donations/Franklin_Raines.php

According to the Washington Post, Raines has settled into a job with AOL co-founder Steve Case’s ventures Revolution Health and Revolution Money (and, as noted on the Newsmeat site, Raines lists himself as employed with Revolution LLC):

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/07/15/AR2008071502827_2.html?sid=ST2008071503047&s_pos&s_pos=

Raines actually gets a mention on Revolution Health’s web site:

http://www.revolutionhealth.com/about/index

Revolution Health urges people to contact them at:

http://www.revolutionhealth.com/about/contact-us

One could probably send an e-mail to Raines courtesy of Revolution Health’s Media Relations folks at media@revolutionhealth.com.

Or perhaps write to Raines care of the company at:

Corporate Headquarters
Revolution Health
1250 Connecticut Avenue NW, Ste. 600
Washington, DC 20036-2651

Plus, there’s a Franklin D. Raines listed on the District of Columbia Bar web site:

Franklin D Raines

Email: fdraines@aol.com
Phone: 202-776-1400

James A. Johnson

James A. Johnson lives in a penthouse at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in D.C. now and is an Obama advisor. I guess when you’re taking $21 million from FannieMae while running it into the ground you can afford it:

http://www.minnpost.com/stories/2008/06/03/2078/obama_turns_to_trusted_political_insider_jim_johnson_for_key_campaign_role

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_A._Johnson_(businessman)

Probably best to contact Johnson by calling or faxing Obama’s Senate office in D.C., to ask Obama whether he is urging his friend to return the FannieMae monies and to ask for Johnson’s telephone number, don’t you think?

Senator Barack Obama
Washington D.C. Office
713 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510
(202) 224-2854
(202) 228-4260 fax

Daniel A. Mudd

Daniel Mudd made almost $1 million in salary for fiscal year 2007 at FannieMae before being fired.

http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/people/person.asp?personId=271139&symbol=FNM

Here’s more info about this great public servant:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Mudd

Probably best to try to contact Mudd through Obama’s office, too. Also, FannieMae might know how to contact Mudd and Johnson (FannieMae provided the following info to Citigroup in January, 2008 when Mudd told was scheduled to speak to them (see http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS210856+24-Jan-2008+PRN20080124 )):

Fannie Mae is a shareholder-owned company with a public mission. We exist to expand affordable housing and bring global capital to local communities in order to serve the U.S. housing market. Fannie Mae has a federal charter and operates in America’s secondary mortgage market to ensure that mortgage bankers and other lenders have enough funds to lend to home buyers at low rates.
