I had a copy of Rudy’s speech and all of a sudden he also went off the script — completly off the script including the ending.

If true, why didn't they go with this story immediately after the speech, to highlight how talented she is without a teleprompter?

“How many times has Palin read off a Teeleprompter in her life?
Im guessing zero.
So she winged it. “
If she was a newscaster wouldn’t she have had a lot of practice using a teleprompter. Sorry if I am ignorant and that is not the case.

She surely did a good job improvising the speech. However, as a former sportscaster, she should be more than familiar with a teleprompter.

When I watched the CSPAN broadcast, there were a few shots from behind her where I could see the telepromters, and every time they were in sync with her. I don’t know, they may have gotten off a couple of times. To me, it shows how great a speaker she is if she can give a speech off a teleprompter and still make it sound natural.
