Media Furious At Palin's Popularity

Today, The New York Times leads with a smear piece entitled, "Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes." Likewise, today's Washington Post competes in the ever-further-downward spiral with its own hit piece, "As Mayor of Wasilla, Palin Cut Own Duties, Left Trail of Bad Blood." Cronyism, lashing out, cutting personal duties and a trail of blood.

NRO cites Jen Rubin's criticism of the NYT's hatched job, finding that the facts hardly warrant the egregious language and condemnatory tone of the article. The Post article supplies even less substance - by it's rationale, every elected official who fills a cabinet with trusted allies is guilty of front-page worthy scandal.

It bears mentioning that the media have allotted absolutely no time to investigating the myriad "scandals" of Obama and Biden. If the Democratic pair were subjected to the same standard of scrutiny, the front pages of every newspaper in America would run for a week in order to capture their many scandals.

The media hates Sarah Palin. They despise her for routing radical feminism, they curse her for boosting McCain in the polls and they condescend her for the conservatism she refuses to remit. They are willing to shamelessly degrade themselves without limit in order to lend support to the Democratic ticket. Today's leading Washington Post article on Obama, even as he rolls out ads which patently lie about McCain, is titled, "Obama Points to the Issues: Ignore Attacks, Democrat Implores."

I think Bat Boy would do a better job then Frank Rich and host of others would reporting on this election!

Bat Boy reports: “Palin to propose drilling on moon”

I believe that, fortunately, this is the last election cycle that we'll see this. The MSM is so in the tank for obozo that they have simply stopped trying to conceal their agenda. Win, lose or draw their credibility is shot. After this election the MSM is going to be relegated to covering flower and auto shows. NO ONE with an ounce of sense will believe anything that any of them try to push at us.

An unbiased media is a myth and always has been. Just take a look at how Hamilton and Jefferson used the media of their times to establish our two party system. At least back then the media has honest enough to say which party they supported.

Man, that was a funny read (headlines, in the check out).

If I weren’t such a nice guy, I might make a joke about Bat-Boy and Obama. Is there any photographic comparison? :)

I liked the way the Friends of the Library told the MSM to (in effect) kiss off.

The greatest hindrance to enlightened democracy in America is the ignorance and prejudice promulgated by our media outlets. When every media story is crafted, manipulated or simply invented with an intent to forwarding a particular party or agenda, the free press serves no greater objective than to enslave the free will and reasonable discretion of the voting populace.

Excellent summation of where we find ourselves.

I can’t remember when the media was so interested in a VP candidate, and so negatively so. Sarah Palin is a principled, ethical American woman who has demonstrated superior skills in government. She has been a mayor, and she is currently a governor. By what standards does the media challenge her credentials, while turning a blind eye to a total lack of credentials by Barrack Obama? Clearly, the media is heavily biased and determined to force Barrack Obama down our throats despite all of the troubling, frequently unreported, facts about him.

Some say that 2008 might be the last pres. election where the MSM as we have known it will have such impact. With the continuing decline of newspapers and NBC,ABC,CBS,CNN, and MSNBC, the internet/talk radio/alternative media continue to grow. By 2012, the major network news divisions as we have know them from the days of John Cameron Swayze and the Camel News Caravan may no longer exist.

President Bill Clinton, after first sacking all 93 U.S. attorneys appointed by Ronald Reagan or George H.W. Bush, also fired or “resigned” three or four of his federal prosecutors.

Travelgate, the first major scandal of the Clinton administration, erupted on May 19, 1993 when the White House Travel Office staff of seven were told they would be terminated on June 5. The director, Billy Dale, and his deputy had been with the Travel Office for nearly 30 years. The other five had worked there from 8 to 26 years. Except for two who were out of town, they were all escorted out of their offices and expelled from the White House grounds.

The first thing you learn in the Professional Sales Area, not just order takers, but real salesmen, is that you do not run down your competition/ Do not say bad things about the competition, just dwell on what you do best, and why people should buy from you. This is the lesson OBamma and crew have not learned. Every time they smear Sarah, they alienate a few more people. They should concentrate on their programs, and quit drawing attention to Sarah. The OBinden clan are destroying themselves.

Its funny as all hell in a way...... in terms that they are litterally causing the OPPOSITE of what they want, the downfall of Sarah Palin, they are doing their DAMDEST to tear her up. They are instead creating the more honest impression that the Media is out of hand too far left, AND increasing support of Mccain Palin in the Polls! Their support is still going up, even as the media attacks are going up. Ergo.... the Media is causing their popularity to go up! THAT is funny.

Didn’t Bill Clinton have a couple of grade school (kindergarten!) classmates in his administration? His closest advisers all seemed to be from Arkansas.

When I read on another FR thread how Sarah Palin is being accused of having cheated in the Miss Wasilla beauty pageant, I started laughing my head off.

I hope it's Page One in tomorrow's New York Times. I can hardly wait for an explanation of how you cheat to become Miss Wasilla.
