You are correct that Kenya was a British colony in 1961, which is when Obama was supposedly born. Still, socioeconomic standards among the native population would be considered "third world." I have no idea whether or not, assuming Obama was born there at that time, there would have been a birth certificate to document it. It's not as if the practice of using birth certificates was necessarily universal or even legally mandated then re the native population.

Furtherermore, assuming for the sake of argument that Obama was born there and that there was a birth certificate documenting it, why would the Brits have necessarily maintained a copy of such birth certificate when Kenya gained independence? It would seem more likely that they merely left that type of record in the hands of the new Kenyan government at the time. And with all the succeeding changes in that Kenyan government and civil strife, chances of such a birth record surviving wouldn't seem all that good.

Please to not think of a possible Kenyan birth certificate in the same terms as you would an American or Canadian or Western European certificate.

I don't think photos of a document is enough evidence.
They need to check by hand the real Birth Certificate.... They should not even allow just a photo ( in this case, or any case like this ) of the Birth Certificate as evidence.

Probably for the same reason he filed the 9/11 suits. Publicity. Have you read any of his filings? They seem tailor made to get thrown out of court after the headlines of the filings have passed. Have you read his Motion for Expedited Discovery? What kind of attorney is so inept as to require discovery to be completed by a non-existent date - September 31, 2008? All his stuff seems to have little nuggets in them to ensure that they will be thrown out, and so he won't actually have to prove anything.

We already know that the Hawaii "Certification of Live Birth" that was put up on the Internet to supposedly "prove" Obama was born there was a forgery. Therefore it has no legal value whatsoever. Until Obama and supporters can show a copy of bona fide certificate of birth or a bona fide certification of live birth from an American jurisdiction, the issue of whether he qualifies as a "natural born citizen" is very much alive.

Look at it from the other way... what about those who come here who are foreign born ( both or one parent ) let's say ? on vacation, visiting, work, but, have citizenship in another country ? if a woman gave birth to a child here ? would that child be considered a US BORN citizen ? or would that child be considered a citizen of the country were those parents came from ?
How about the illegals who have babies here in the US who sneak across the boarders and have babies here for that reason ?
Are other countries laws more strict ?
Even if their citizens were to come here, and their child is born here, do their countries consider their children as citizens of their country ?

Did or did not the US have a US Embassy in Kenya at that time ?
Do US Citizens have to register at a US Embassy if they are going to stay in another country for a prolonged time ?
And if so ? would his mother have to make a report at the US Embassy that she gave birth there while in Kenya ?

Well, his father died in a single car drunk driving accident, so age is irrelevant. His mother died from cancer in 1995.

In the court papers for the lawsuit, he used Wikipedia as a reference. It’s two or three pages into it.

They also need the Hawaiian officials responsible for the birth certificate to confirm in public that it is real. They haven’t done so for any of the photo versions.

I recall reading that Obama’s grandmother said she was present at Obama’s birth in Kenya. Why would she say that if it wasn’t true?

It would make him a citizen, but not a natural born citizen as his father was not a US citizen and his mother wasn’t in the country “10 years, five of which over the age of 16” as required to be considered a “natural born citizen”.

Is it possible if this were to be proven true, could citizens take out a class action law suite on Obama and the DNC ?

The Obama campaign and the DNC have collected contributions....in the millions. If the candidate is unqualified and not vetted this is fraud, mail fraud, numerous violations of the RICCO Act and if the contributions can be traced to foreign entities, violations of FECA law.

I was interested in that link. I still think something hooey is going on with Barack and citizenship, whether with Indonesian citizenship or whatever. I don’t think you are a troll. Unfortunately, if they manufactured a forgery for the photograph, a judge would be just as fooled if they handed it over to him. A judge isn’t going to know anything about edging on paper and such.
