"This is a classic case of polling as a snapshot in time. We're turning Pennsylvania purple today, as McCain takes a small edge. But as in Ohio, we are watching this closely and things could change in this classically blue state."

It was just 3 points on Gallup yesterday. The norm is for the Dems to be up by 5, anything less then that and they are losing.
Did you forget the sarcasm tag or your meds ?
Some people like to selectively cite to polls that have the results they like. Zogby is awful, god awful. I don’t know how he eats or makes a living with his track record.

Knowing Democrats, they could always kill Republican voters and re register them as Democrats when they are dead. That's a net gain of two Democrat votes per person.
If Obama doesn’t carry Pennsylvania, he’s got almost no chance of election. This Zogby poll is a “likely voter” poll, and is consistent with the “registered voter” polls that show Obama slightly ahead.
Not to mention the cemetaries and bus-ins.
;-)
Not buying it - it’s Zogby.
Latest Survey USA Poll (dated 9/7/2008) for NC has McCain up by 20 Points.

Spector isn’t running this year, What are you talking about?
PA for McCain would be a sign of an almost Reaganesque election landslide nationally.
Still, PA always seems to give us hope of turning red, but then inevitabley reverts back to its blue form on election day. Here’s hoping for a change.
Skepticism is warranted. However, these numbers are important because polls served to encourage or discourage. These recent polls, especially this one, is likely to send the left over the edge, more so than usual, if that’s possible. In their desparation, they will make mistakes.
It also helps to encourage the Republican base.
Agree. It’s the Zog special sauce, but so far this election season, he’s been kind of a leading indicator, not a lagger. So maybe he’s onto something. He was the only pollster on target in 1994, and was very accurate in 1996 . . . then went downhill. Maybe he’s rejuvenated himself.
If it’s true that Maryland & New Jersey are going to give their votes to the winner of the national popular vote we might be looking at 55 state landslide. I still don’t see Barry H. losing Hawaii and Illinois.
It’s irrelevant what happens in CO and NM if McCain gets PA. It’s over, even before the next time zone votes.
Settle down there...remember they are tremendous cheaters.
Still got debates to survive, but PA going to McCain is something I’ve never doubted. Too many older Dems here, and they’re very peeved at Obama. :)
