Summary: McCain - 49.1% Obama - 44.3% Not Sure/Other - 6.6%

"This is a classic case of polling as a snapshot in time. We're turning Pennsylvania purple today, as McCain takes a small edge. But as in Ohio, we are watching this closely and things could change in this classically blue state."

“I have a hard time believing NC, VA, and IN won’t go red.”

That’s because you’re right.

we’ll never take PA - 127% of blacks will vote in Philly, and they’ll ALL vote for hussein.

Only if an electoral majority of states also do as such.

Is Daniels back in the lead? He was lagging for a while.

Let’s review the Pennsylvania specific Obama gaffes:

1. Bitter people who cling to their guns and religion.
2. Nittaly Lions
3. New Pennsylvania

He lost big to Hillary there. And he hopes to overcome McCain/Palin by saying things like that? As the panic gets deeper the gaffes will multiply. Sometimes a state can see too much of candidate.

"Even dead votes can’t overcome 5%."

In the 2000 election, the number of Gore votes cast in Phily exceeded the population. No investigation was ever done.

Been thinking about retiring in Pennsylvania - this could seal the deal.

I’ll admit that Zogby’s polls are not in the league with others. But it’s important to remember, Bish came closer to winning Pennsylvania than Kerry came to winning Ohio.

..I’m going out on a limb and picking PA for McCain—the guns and religion comment will kill Obama’s chances—plus the Rendell machine won’t lift a finger to help him IMO...

"He needs to lay out a specific job growth agenda"

The only job growth agenda is a deep tax cut for the upper-middle class ($250,000 - $1,000,000) that is where the jobs are born and lost. 3/4 of the jobs in the US come from businesses owned by that group. When taxes rise, they have no choice but to lighten their load by cutting the work force.

Scott Rasmussen released a poll the other day showing McCain and Obama in a DEAD HEAT in Washington State.

Combine that with this.

I really feel that things are going our way at the moment.

I'll take it with a gain of salt, Zorby says that Obama is in a COMFORTABLE lead, so I'm wondering who Zorby is polling in Maine -- THE MOOSE?

As usual, CT is still blue...48 to 32 Obama. Hey CT, what has the DEMS did you you lately?

Well, I remember in 2000 going through all the "what-ifs" about reapportionment. The problem is that there isn't any other way to cut the cake in most states---i.e., the parties have maxed out their impact by drawing strange "friendly" districts. But if you're saying that rust belt states lose (OH?? yes) and sun belt states gain (AZ? NM?) the record is not at all that these become new Republican EVs. So far they have, but NM went for Gore, and CA continues to be looney, and OR/WA are left, while W VA (sure to lose more pop) has become a solid red state.

So, it's way too soon to be thinking about anything beyond 08.

"If McCain is declared the winner in PA on election night, it’s time to open the champagne!"

IF PA goes for McCain we won't know till the election is well over.

No way the RATS in Philly allow that news to affect the vote out west.

Not gonna happen!

[Ms.Obama was campaigning in Indiana last week.]

That should be worth atleast 5% for McCain.

The key here is whether or not the dead rise on election day in Philly to vote for B. Hussein Obama and then return to their graves.

Roger that. If it's anywhere close, Rendell and the Philly Dems will be staging a remake of "Night of the Living Dead". It's unusual for a Dem to lose a close election.

The key is to make the margin too high for the Dems to cheat around.
