Honestly..I can’t watch him. It is too scary. He is standing next to the seawall with the pavement peeling up in the waves, a 20 foot storm surge on the way and holding on to a tree...(eye roll)
Fox just lost his signal. Hope he is not dead.
I checked the tide tables and for Galveston Channel, it's about 4:40 am or so. More like 6am closer to the head of the bay.
Where are pople hearing about a possible eye-wall rebuilding or a possible wobbl towards the northeast?
Fox sure as hell isn’t talking about it.
I retired from the Texas Instruments plant there in Stafford.

I'm sure someone has pointed out by now that the idiotic fool has his anemometer set to km/h, not mph.
Neither is the Weather Channel.
I’ve chased them and ran into 70kt winds and it ain’t pretty. I’ve had to try and get to equipment in 60kt winds and it isn’t happening. I like his passion though, he is enjoying this.
Thought Obama had that job locked up.
Cool. Thanks for the clarification.
Galveston Police are out trying to rescue people now?
No idea - I think eyewall consolidation is occurring and being misinterpreted as a wobble. General storm motion is still NW. He’s coming in.
Batton down the hatches, baby !!
Hang in there...
He needs to be looking for Capones vault!! He has no credibility with anyone that I know, and FOX is losing all credibility with people that I know, because of his false reporting!! Things are bad enough without imaging it to be worse!!
Well... maybe the WORST case will not be realized... but, it’s so far west now, I can’t see how it’s not going to be really bad..
30 minutes ago, I had a report of flooding in Lake Jackson... Not sure how bad yet. But, it appears the levees have been topped.
We are about one mile from TI.
Geraldo or Ike ; p

Help me to remember when the Galveston mayor upped the urgency from a voluntary evac of West Galveston to a mandatory evac of the island. Just a couple of hours ago, a spokesperson for 45-50 people in a flooded building said they were not aware of the flood potential.
Oh - ok - well the Weather Channel we quite complimentary about the Mayor of Houston’s rescue of those people - it may have been in Bolivar.
I hope somebody will talk about it again - but what a contrast to the idiot Nagin’s lack of courage or actions of rescue during Katrina.
In fact, Texas and Houston did SO MUCH for the people of LA after Katrina.....I will always remember their kindness and generosity - and I hope - I know - their kindnesses will be repaid after this terrible storm is over....but there is still the suffering of those going through this now....so...prayers again.
