I'm getting a lot of e-mails like these:
Mr. Gibson left out a couple of words when he quoted Mrs. Palin. She was admonishing the congregation and said, "Pray that our national leaders are sending our troops on a task that is from God." When he quoted her, he left out the admonishment to pray and said her quote began with Our leaders are sending. . . That totally changes the meaning, thus, he can construe her real meaning and take the interview in the direction of mission from God, aka holy war.
She was not saying that we were fighting a holy war. But, praying for the leaders, that they would send our troops to fight for righteous and noble causes that align with our values. Isn't that what Americans have always done? This infuriates me. If they cannot make their points by using our words, they attempt to create false impressions by omitting words and distorting their true meaning. I had hoped Mr. Gibson would be more honest. Disappointed again by the MSM

And apparently a dishonest piece of crap.
did you expect anything different
Gibson is an 0bama “Tingler.”
This is going to back fire on them.
Demand the raw interview to be posted online.
Who was feeding him the drivel through his earpiece???
>>Gibson was a condescending a$$<<
Yes, he was.
And yet she was unflappable and he was, at times, caught off guard by her frankness and clarity. He seemed to be unnerved by his inability to unnerve her.
an important omission that changes the meaning of the sentence. Why would he do that?? /s
How did she do? Really. If Gibson is so bad, why did the McC camp pick him?
This one change in meaning is a huge contention that some of my liberal friends have. They are twisting it into her believing we are declaring a holy war or crusade. It really is an insight into how the left doesn’t understand us.
I don’t have TV but saw 2 clips on ABC’s site. H wasn’t even looking at her most of the time. You knew he discounting her and he WAS condescending. The “hubris” comment told us exactly what we were going to get.
I am watching some of the “after interview” analysis - Chris Matthews is actually being objective about the thing - so far.
You have to wonder why they would trust any of the press. Let her take questions in town hall from the people just like John.
Sarah recognized that he had changed the quote, and called him on it too.
He said “No, these are your words”, or something to that effect.
What a Slime!!!!!
She did quite well. Here comeback at this misrepresentation of her words was impressive. She quoted Lincoln. She’s quick on her feet. You could quibble about somewhat stumbling about the “Bush Doctrine” question, but even a political junkie like me didn’t know exactly what the condescending a$$ expected her to say.
I was waiting for Gov. Palin to respond, “Mr. Gibson, which word didn’t you understand?” Mr. Gibson kept pushing for a simplistic “yes or no” answer while Gov.Palin kept repeating the decision criteria. Mr. Gibson didn’t want to hear her response. I’m glad Mr. Gibson isn’t a candidate for dog catcher, let alone an office of substance.

If the McCain Camp did not demand a copy of the entire interview or simultape their own they are guilty of malfeasance. The haloed one demanded and got the night of McCain’s acceptance as the price for going on O’Reilly. McCain and Palin should have gotten a full copy and transcript to counter the inevitable edit chop.
I noticed the change too. He was trying to get her backed in a corner to make her sound more like Bush II.
She wasn’t buying.
I did like the way she looked him in the eye and gave her answers with confidence.
On a side note, we are in a “Holy War”. Have been since the Garden.
