Is it just my local cable tv company, or is the ABC sound not synchronized with the lip movements?
If this is national, it's really unforgivable.
That “deer in the headlights” moment you saw was an “ah ha” moment for Palin. Remember she is the running mate on the MCCain ticket. That is why she asked him to be specific.
McCain has his own view points on how President Bush has ran this war. Gibson wanted her to defend the Bush policy and her ticket isn’t fully in line with that policy. Think about it...
Yeah. I just looked in the Dictionary and Noah Webster didn't define it for me either. What is the exact meaning of those words?
No...the way to neutralize a hostile questioner is to insists that the interview be conducted in front of an AUDIENCE. It is impossible to evil-edit it that way, and also it makes Gibson think twice about getting nasty, lest the crowd show their displeasure.

I admire Shakaashvili's chutzpah. That guy has big brass ones.
If Mexico claimed Arizona and New Mexico (which they do) and Mexicans in those states were causing all kinds of trouble, as Russians were in South Ossetia, what would you do? (And please, spare me the "Mexico isn't Russia" argument.)
You can't let internal strife encouraged by a foreign power go unchecked, or you might as well surrender.
Aware? Yeah...but that isn’t going to happen overnight. And the fact is, while energy is certainly a a major component of our national security, it isn’t the only part. Speaking intelligently about the threat of terrorism that continues today, especially on THIS day, would’ve been much more effective. IMHO.
The RIGHT WING media should hammer back at the left and the MSM ... “ I thought you said that you were AGAINST interrogations “ ..... that is who I saw it... a military interrogation by Charles Gibson from ABC....
“But would you say that he treated her like most car salesmen treat a woman when she tries to buy a car? Or the repair guy not listening to or believing her description of a mechanical problem?”
I have had this experience when talking to some politicians, salesmen, college professors, and a few others. I always act as they expect me to until the final moment. Then I give them my closing line and leave them with gaping mouths as I smile and walk away.
Nothing gets my dander up more than being condescended to and thats exactly what Charlie reminded me of. The prof giving an oral exam to a student he didnt want to give a good grade to. I had hoped Charlie would have more class...silly me. He did a good interview with Bush but the attitude was way different. I will wait to see the rest of the interview before I call him a complete buffoon.
I am going to paraphrase Rush Limbaugh from last week... “Without oil... we cease to exist as a Nation”. WITHOUT energy... we have no war machine.
LLS
Charley ? ABC ? NO MORE WATER BOARDING in your interviews.
The way it was edited, I don’t think we can be certain she didn’t do that.
Put it in context, please.
You're just saying that 'cause it's true...
ABC ? !!! WERE ARE THE MISSING EDITED TAPES ??? WHAT DID YOU KNOW AND WHEN DID YOU KNOW IT ??? !!!
Yeah, well, if you don’t have a big brain to go along with your “big brass ones,” that brass doesn’t do you much good, does it?
The Bush Doctrine is fairly accepted in common discourse just as Gibson described it - a willingness to strike against enemies of the country before those enemies achieve a level of development where such a strike would likely have serious reprecussions. It is absolutely something a Vice Presidental candidate should know.
My husband is not a died in the wool conservative like me and he thought she did great on this interview. Confident and fiesty. Give me a break. There must be a lot of trolls on this thread.
I don't know.......... Third base! (Abbot and Costello answer to I don't know)
Fair point.
Because it's Ossetians and Azkhabis who want out of Georgia.
