Sound not synchronized on Palin Gibson interview?
Posted on 09/11/2008 3:35:40 PM PDT by KayEyeDoubleDee
Is it just my local cable tv company, or is the ABC sound not synchronized with the lip movements?
If this is national, it's really unforgivable.

I better interview would have had her going fishing with Sarah in her element. Now that would have been funny watching Charles try and bait his own hook and cast his pole. How well do you think he would have done that?

What a crap budget interview! One camera? Chairs so close together they were almost playing footsie because they had to get both of them in the shot. They had more of Charlie’s face than Sarah and she was the interviewie.
This seemed like a low budget Vodcast rather than a major network interview. And I cannot stand seeing Charlie Gibson with his peering over his glasses snobby looking self. It looks like she got called in to the principal’s office and it completely lacked respect of her, a Governor!!
You know, I have never paid attention to sexism before Sarah Palin, but after this I am seeing it is alive and well. I just hope the women of America are seeing who is committing it.

I would like to see the same kind of questioning thrown at Obama. Don't hold your breath...

Georgia is NOT a member of NATO, and I hope it never is. My guess is that if Georgia had been a NATO member last month, Russia wouldn't have touched it.
Just wait until Ukraine joins NATO (it will happen.) Putin will need a laxative!

That statement shows your view on things and it seems as if it’s about more than the “Bush Doctrine”. I happen to think you are not one to follow in criticizing Gov. Palin as you may know the meaning of “Bush Doctrine” but don’t have the right idea as to what we are facing from Russia.

How could you be on the ticket and not know what the Bush Doctrine is?"
Ok. What's the Bush Doctrine? As defined by whom? Can you cite the date and the speech where President Bush first articulated and named this policy?

Not seeing the interview, the Bush Doctrine question may have been a beartrap she was trying to avoid because the Bush Doctrine has evolved somewhat. It seems like she asked for clarification as to what he was referring too because the doctrine evolved overtime and it is overarching as well.

As is my wont, I've got to see how Intrade is reacting. If her interview was disastrous the contract on her being dumped from the ticket likely would rise. There has been a slight bump, but then back to around where it started the day.

Yes, I like that “Charlie” stuff too. Overdone for a reason. That was to put him ill at ease, just like she knew he was trying to do to her. After all, he is the big important media man and she is supposed to be intimidated by his importance and knowledge. How I despise the media.

Russia’s latest incursion into territorial Georgia has assured Georgia’s entry into NATO.
Bad move on Russia’s part. By the way, if Russia (Soviet Union) wants to put missiles in Cuba, history tells us they don’t need a reason. But, we will need a leader, like JFK, to stare the commies down on such an action.

" Im hoping the McCain camp was smart enough to have their own cameras there for the interview and provide it in its ENTIRETY on their campaign website to let us judge without edits. They need to remember to do that at every appearance with the media ghouls. "
John McCain needs his own reporters/interviews hound these media types and give them their own taste of their medicine.
Have a dark room and a 100 watt light bulb in the middle of the room and interrogate them... ( just joking folks ).
Put the camera right in their faces and see how it feels for a CHANGE.

Cable....just really odd. The interview was heavily edited too.

She stumbled by not recognizing the definition of "The Bush Doctrine." What is "The Bush Doctrine"? "You are with us or you are with the terrorists" but liberals make up their own definition according to what they don't like about Bush.

What we are facing from Russia? We're two nuclear powers. What we are facing from Russia if we are lucky is another cold war stalemate.
Which to me, is preferable to all-out war with Russia.
To: KayEyeDoubleDee
Sarah should have had the interview way out in the sea on a really bad rocking boat going fishing and Charles getting sea sick over the bow.

Gibson agreed that energy is important, but then said there is more to defense than just energy - she stuck with her energy bit. You're aware that if we become too starved for oil that it could provoke a World War, considering that our entire economy runs on oil?
And that this kind of thing could happen overnight?

What is "The Bush Doctrine"? "You are with us or you are with the terrorists" but liberals make up their own definition according to what they don't like about Bush. In retrospect, she handled herself well. The question was a set-up, to try and get Palin to repudiate Bush policy. But the term "Bush Doctrine" itself has evolved a lot over the past seven years.
She did fine.

Russia “touched it,” precisely because we are talking about making Georgia a member of NATO.
