Sound not synchronized on Palin Gibson interview?

Posted on 09/11/2008 3:35:40 PM PDT by KayEyeDoubleDee

Is it just my local cable tv company, or is the ABC sound not synchronized with the lip movements?

If this is national, it's really unforgivable.

Palin answered the question exactly right. If Georgia is a member of NATO [which is what the presumption was], then yes the US and other NATO members are obligated to go to the defense of the member state. It is Article 5 of the NATO Charter, i.e., an attack against one is an attack against all.

It is here. She is doing great. I love the way she calls him “Charlie”. He is trying every which way to knock her out.

Ain’t gonna work, Charlie.

The media named it the Bush Doctrine. Glad she didn’t fall into that trap.

I haven't seen the interview though, so I'm only responding to what I'm seeing here on this thread.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. She doesn't have to know the whole world's machinations in order to walk into the Naval Conservatory on Day 1.

The thing is ? while they are trying to make her look bad... they are condescending and complacent... they should be worried because we are watching them like a hawk.
Were are the missing edit clips from this interview ABC ? what are you hiding ?

Not knowing what the Bush Doctrine was is a major stumble...

The interview is scheduled to start in a few minutes, in my locality. I will be listening very carefully to this exchange. It will be interesting to to hear Gibson's description of the "Bush Doctrine."

I don’t have to look it up. After 28 years in the State Dept as an FSO, I know what it says and means. As I said, it was the only stumble. Otherwise she did well. And she was spot on concerning the Georgia-NATO question.

I think this has some Rovian scent to it....!

Think about it, if the MSM was damaging OHB, then this was
a brilliant stroke.

They asked one tough person to not only be consumed but to actually enter into the belly of the Beast.

ABC and Gibson performed as expected and will further intensify the sexism charges against the MSM and by proxy, OBH.

Mrs. Palin, did extremely well under a most grotesque setting. So all you bashing her performance or at the very least skeptical, well look at this way, this in on Governor I would not mind having in my foxhole!

ABC News blows it
By Michelle Malkin • September 11, 2008 06:46 PM Charlie Gibson had a chance to show that he could be fair, balanced, and P.D.S.-free with Sarah Palin’s first major MSM interview.

Looks like he blew it.

Taking quotes out of context.

Getting basic facts wrong.

Engaging in distortionary hype.

I think she just wanted to stay away with anything regarding Bush...So as not to be linked with Bush...

She was strong and straight forward.

I disagree. Your version of what the “Bush Doctrine” is could be totally different than mine. Best to get what Charlie thought the Bush was before saying yes or no.

Well, you answer a question like that with:

"I would do things much different from President Bush, but I agree with his resolve to protect America, and that we will agressively persue terrorists no matter where they hide...."

If the editing was that bad, do you think they spliced her answers and doctored the interview?

“Gibson’s body language is a disgrace”

This took me back a few years. Looked like some high school principle with some “double secret probation” warrant hidden in his briefcase.
