I think we will see Colorado continue to drift back home to the GOP.

As I've said on other threads, Colorado will go McCain/Palin - and it won't even be that close.

I've been crunching Colorado voter data since 1995 and there is absolutely NO WAY that Obambi takes this state. The largest voter fraud will be taking place in Pueblo, but it won't be enough to overcome the "Decline to State" voters in Jefferson, Arapahoe, and Douglas counties.

Obambi has lost. He's running his campaign against the VP of the opposing party - not a winning strategery.

cmon folks. CO has a bit of a lag due to the Denver extravaganza but it is a western state facing the most pro-western ticket in history.

This makes me nervous. Same as Virginia.

Colorado has some problems to overcome. We will, and I predict the money that’s been thrown at us will not make the same difference it made before.

Beware, this article is supposed to be a game plan the Democrats plan on using across the country, as they can get the support of leftists in each state. If nothing else, it will explain what Republicans are up against in Colorado.

A lot of sewer from Cali is flooding the beautiful state of Arizona too, not to mention from the north east and the midwest. It makes me sick sitting in stuck traffic watching all these north east license plates. There is little doubt when they get their new driver’s licenses they will register Democrat.

VA will not go for Obama. At least I don’t think so, and I don’t think CO will go for him either.

There are a lot of old hippies and stupid college kids now living in the beautiful state of Colorado.

In 1990 the Hispanic population of Colorado was 424,302 [12.9%] out of a total population of 3,294,394. In 2006 the Hispanic population is 934,410 [19.7 %] out of a total population of 4,753,377. Colorado is becoming more purple because of immigration and a growing Hispanic population, which votes predominantly Dem.

First, WallStPunk, welcome to the forum. You're doing the Obama camp proud.

Now, back to Colorado.

GOP Regains Lead in Voter Registration [in CO]

So the Democrats must be a close second to the Pubbies, right? Nope. They're third, behind unaffiliated voters. Dems trail the Pubbies by about 78K registered voters.

Colorado's close right now, but the advantage goes to McCain, not the Obamessiah. Same for Virginia.

At rock bottom, we've got to have CO, VA, OH, and FL. Of those, FL looks to be shaping up. The others are wobbly. I know the polls in OH show a general lean towards McCain, but Obama is really hammering the “jobs going overseas are McCain-Bush’s fault” message, and I fear, as in ‘06, that it will have traction. McCain has to find a way to blunt that. The GOP has to absolutely pour resources into winning these states, because without them I don't think we can do it. MI and PA and maybe MN or WI would be nice to pick off but we shouldn't count on them. IA is a goner to the ‘Rats this time around. If we can get what we had in ‘04 (less IA) we should have enough to win it.

In the case of VA, it is just as much northeastern and MD transplants, Asian (yes, most Asians, regardless of nationality, are libs), and middle eastern immigrants that are turning said state Dem.

1. The Hispanic population has a low rate of voter registration in Colorado, per a Democrat activist acquaintance of mine in said state. They also have a historically low rate of turnout.

2. Lots of Cali lib transplants in Boulder and Denver area, and they ARE registering to vote.

That's encouraging, thanks for posting the link. I wonder if these polling agencies are using more Dems than Repubs in their sampling, and that's why they are coming up a point or two short for McCain in Colorado?

If the election were today I'm confident McCain/Palin would win all four.
