In 1990 the Hispanic population of Colorado was 424,302 [12.9%] out of a total population of 3,294,394. In 2006 the Hispanic population is 934,410 [19.7 %] out of a total population of 4,753,377. Colorado is becoming more purple because of immigration and a growing Hispanic population, which votes predominantly Dem.
