whatta joke!

just a while ago she was adamantly against drilling oil to use for gasoline for autos, now she's drilling union money.

Rush hit this topic today and I thought his comments were right on.

He said that there is no need to do anything for the auto industry. Do not spend one dime on them.

Instead take all of the CAFE rules off the industry and they will make money.

He pointed out that GM is profitable in all of their overseas operations and losing money here because of our brilliant people in DC.

He pointed out that Buick is one of the most popular cars in SA.

Ford has a car that gets 65 miles to the gallon in Europe, but US regulations will not allow it to be sold in the US.

This country is screwed up so bad that we don't even know how bad we are screwed up.

i heard that, and why is that?

It's a diesel, and emissions regulations prevent many diesel automobiles from being sold here in the U.S.

200 years ago, when this country was started, someone noted that a democracy will exist until the people discover they can vote themselves ‘largesse’ from the public treasury.

The auto industry should be nationalized if for no other reason that it didn't adequately and effectively resist the initial efforts of the fedguv tampering with it back in the 1960's.

Plus, it is a hornet's nest full of union thugs.

The only thing the Democrats care about are the electoral votes in Michigan. By not allowing drilling for oil in America, they have already told the workers to go to heck.

These idiots in DC are costing many jobs when they refuse to address the domestic oil issue. A local factory is closing its doors here in JC and undoubtedly the liberals will try to blame the economy & President Bush instead of their man-made petroleum shortage. McCain and Palin need to start driving this point home that the Democrat’s policies are not only costing the taxpayers via higher fuel costs but also by costing us good paying jobs. Here is a link to the story in the local paper.

Thew best thing they can do in DC is to butt out and let us drill our own oil!

nancy pelosi’s so useless,

that you’d think someone in the democrat plantation would

notice and demand something more effective.

pelosi’s a help to the pubbies.

I don’t think McCain is for giving them govt aid but rather to cut taxes across the board. We had this debate before in Michigan. Romney was for spending lots of money for the automobile industry but McCain didn’t go for it.

If they just rescinded some of their previous regulations it would do the trick.
