Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The head honchos at NARAL believe John McCain and Sarah Palin are so extreme on abortion, because they oppose it, that they can't come up with the right words to bash the candidates. As a result, NARAL has sponsored a new contest for its pro-abortion members to design a new slogan.
The idea is for the abortion advocates to come up with the catchiest way of slamming McCain and Palin for wanting to protect women and unborn children.
"There is so much wrong with the McCain-Palin ticket that we hardly know where to begin. We've been trying to come up with some ideaswill you help us sum up what this ticket means for a woman's right to choose?" NARAL big-wig Nancy Keenan wrote in an email today.
"Enter our bumper sticker slogan contest today and help us spread the word about the McCain-Palin ticket and the harm they'd bring," Keenan says.
Apparently, Keenan is worried about the kind of submissions the abortion activists will send, so she includes some instructions: "Be funny, creative, criticaland keep it clean."
NARAL backers will have a chance to vote on the top correlatives next week.
"We all need to put our heads together on this," Keenan says.
Yet, reading the NARAL email, it appears Keenan has plenty to say about McCain and Palin and their pro-life views.
"Just when we thought John McCain couldn't do another thing to stand in the way of women's reproductive rights, he nominated anti-choice extremist Sarah Palin to be his running mate," she says.
Keenan also points out the kind of comments she doesn't like.
She complains about McCain's comments at the Saddleback Forum a few weeks ago ("I will be a pro-life president and this presidency will have pro-life policies.") and Palin's comments to Alaska Right to Life when she ran for lieutenant governor in 2002 (that she is "pro-life as any candidate can be").
"The only 'change' McCain and Palin are serious about is overturning Roe v. Wade," Keenan says.
The NARAL head also complained, for a second time, that Palin was a member of Feminists for Life, a pro-life women's group that helps make students aware of pregnancy options and educates the public on ways abortion hurts women.
snip....Just when we thought John McCain couldn’t do another thing to stand in the way of women’s reproductive rights....
When abortion was constitutionalized, it effectively erased our inalienable right to life, for if some of us no longer possess that right, none of us really do. So death replaces life. And who gave the thugs ‘reproductive rights’?
Once again, we see culture of death Liberals resort to dishonest doublespeak, for reproduce does not mean ‘kill’.
I’m guessing all the justices that voted on Roe are already dead or soon will be. So blame their generation. If anything it might just be boomer judges that fix Roe.
Ahh. The NARAL scum are nothing if not entertaining. Anyone notice that these shrews are getting older and older over time? It would seem that they are dying their anti-life ethic. I reckon we have less than a generation of having to listen to their screeching until they finally go the way of the Shakers.
So you want a medal or something?
I was recommending a bumpersticker for NARAL. I am pro-life, you moron.
Bragging about being a being a supporter of Murder, Inc, huh?. The world would be better off if your mother had been an active member of NARAL.
Do you know what sarcasm is?
If you’re confused as to why they are so outraged at someone choosing to have their kids, here’s the reason:
Those who have had abortions cannot afford to have their consciences prodded by any indication of the wrongness of abortion.
If abortion has ANY negative connotations, it logically leads to the fact that they killed their own baby, a human being, and whose psyche could withstand that acknowledgement?
Notice that the DNC Platform removed the words “safe, legal, and RARE” because the “rare” word implies that there is something negative about it.
I think back to a time when I saw a relative give the finger to a pro-life billboard, and it seemed weird to me at the time. It makes perfect sense in light of my understanding, now, though.
Wow, you should really have explained that in the post.
I would suggest you get it pulled and repost it with your explaination, or you’re gonna get FLAMED.
I'M PRO-LIFE AND I VOTE, AND MY 9 KIDS VOTE
