Sarah Palin may be a lady, but she ain't no woman.
I confess, it was pretty riveting when John McCain trotted out Sarah Palin for the first time. Like many people, I thought, "Damn, a hyperconservative, f**kable, Type A, antiabortion, Christian Stepford wife in a 'sexy librarian' costume -- as a vice president? That's a brilliant stroke of horrifyingly cynical pandering to the Christian right. Karl Rove must be behind it."
Palin may have been a boost of political Viagra for the limp, bloodless GOP (and according to an ABC/Washington Post poll she has created a boost in McCain's standing among white women to a 53 over Obama's 41). But ideologically, she is their hardcore pornographic centerfold spread, revealing the ugliest underside of Republican ambitions -- their insanely zealous and cynical drive to win power by any means necessary, even at the cost of actual leadership.

I hope they keep it up. With the emails I’ve been getting since McCain’s announcement, I would have to say that Palin is the best secret weapon in this country’s arsenal, and the Dims, Libs and Commie Pinko Bedwetters are scared to death.
They will soon wound their own appendages so badly by stepping on them that they will sucessfully neuter themselves permanently.

This was the most over-the-top hatefest I’ve read so far, so I was curious about the writer’s background. Check out this profile article from the San Francisco Chronicle in 2004. It manages to hit every radical, nutty cliche, including 2 deaths from auto-erotic asphyxiation.

To be honest, I pity this woman. It’s very likely that she is mentally ill. It can’t be a happy existence to be her - that seems pretty obvious from her writings.

The Fla Dem party keeps sending me glossy postcards with JOHN MCCAIN’s picture on them and they picked flattering pictures too. Instead of pushing Barry, they are sending everyone in Florida McCain’s photo. Another dumb move.
I wonder aside from pantsuits and unlimited abortions what do these women see in Hillary ?

We are dealing with people who HATE. People who HATE to the very core of thier existence.
And the Idol they are worshipping has stumbled, badly. These are people who believe they are ENTITLED to power.

I was reading in a news article today that the Swiftboat ads that killed Kerry which referred to his “action” in Viet Nam, were “alleged stories of wrong-doing during his military service that have yet to be proved.”
Obama mentioned the Swiftboat ads. Golly. Don’t any of them know how to read?
Let the Fla Dems send you all the glossies they want! Save them, sign them with a Sharpie saying “Thanks for your vote!” and surrepticiously place them in stores that obviously support Obama.

The VP Candidate is raising a baby with Down Syndrome and Coping with her teen daughter’s pregnancy while running for office.
The article is a non bite introduction to Sarah Palin.
It includes a brief interview with John and Cindy McCain about her.
It touches on Bristol but doesn’t spin it and it does mention Troopergate, but they handled both well in my opinion. The main article is about Sarah and her path to the VP nod.
All in all I enjoyed the article.
Now US is a different story, I am one of those people that hides the issue with another magazine in the store I go to....shrugs..turn about is fair play.
