WSJ/NBC News Poll: Palin Boosts McCain’s Ticket
Wall Street Journal ^ | September 9, 2008, 5:00 pm | Susan Davis

Posted on 09/09/2008 2:21:41 PM PDT by NewMediaFan

John McCain’s selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate has given the Republican ticket a boost, according to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.

More than one-third of respondents, 34%, said Palin makes it more likely for them to vote for McCain.

However, 25% of likely voters said the selection of the Alaska governor makes it less likely they will vote for McCain, while 40% said it makes no difference at all.

On the Democratic ticket, the choice of Delaware Sen. Joe Biden as vice president, has less of an impact, with 58% of voters saying his selection does not make a difference whether or not they will vote for Barack Obama. About one quarter, 24%, said Biden makes them more likely to vote for Obama, while 16% said it makes them less likely to vote for him.

I hear it is 46 to 45 Obama.

This is a Chuck Todd poll, the NBC politcal director and Obama supporter, who is trying to help the bleeding for Obama.

Who is Chuck Todd and why is the fact that it’s “his” Poll matter? Did he work for the DNC? Who does he work for now? NBC? Sorry for the barrage, but who is that guy?

The Governor is on the cover of Newsweek, smiling and holding a shotgun over her shoulder. Nice picture, but I didn’t read the article. God bless her, she’s something else. Quintessential American. I’m so proud of her!

That's not as bad as I feared.

Most polls are showing the race is essentially tied, but with momentum moving in our direction. We just need to keep hammering Obambi hard on a daily basis, and we'll be just fine.

And Daughter.

NBC is a farce, and has no credibility since Tim Russert passed.

I am surprised Murdoch allowed the Post to endorse McCain.

If WSJ endorses Obama they will sink.

Todd is the NBC Political Pollster and Strategist. He according to Rush, is the reason NBC has moved so far to the left.

This is a Chuck Todd poll, the NBC politcal director and Obama supporter, who is trying to help the bleeding for Obama.

What was the last poll? IF Obama was up by a significant amount, then even if they show Obama up by 1, it still shows a significant movement to McCain.

Don't get worked up over any single poll, but if you look at state and national polls overall, you can identify trends. All of the trends show a significant shift toward McCain at both the state and national levels, even in normally blue states.

Of course, the children over in DUmmieland and the KOmmies will grab onto this poll to claim that McCain has "peaked" and that the One has resumed his march to the Presidency.

There last poll in August had Obama +3, so if Palin gives McCain a boost, he can’t be down more than 2

Didnt Chuck Todd used to work on CSPAN? I thought he was an unbiased creature but as of late he is very much “weirded out” by the good polls McCain has had. Not believing them at all.

Why in the heck is the Wall Street Journal still associated with this tabloid media source?

WSJ is run by James Murdoch, liberal son and Obamabot of Rupert.

The way to counter NBC is to not watch the Prime time shows like “The Office” and avoid the Today show.

There is a reason they are rated 4th in Ratings.

Todd was at Hotline, and was quoted as saying the GOP would lose over 60 House seats in 2006 along with Stuart Rothenberg.

If you read this months National review, they explain how Brokaw is disgusted with MSNBC and Olbermann, but parent General Electric likes the liberal viewers and ratings.

You would think that the folks at WSJ would understand what communism would do to our country... Oh, wait... I forgot - they think they’ll be eating at the trough with the “elite” rulers. Now it makes more sense...
