Governor Sarah Palin! Or, actually, what she signifies.
We've often stated on FR that if the Republicans would only run true conservatives then we'd win more elections. We'd keep the White House, build conservative majorities in congress, replace liberal activist judges with original intent constitutionalists, and eventually overturn Roe v Wade and begin rolling back some of the damage inflicted upon our beloved republic by the socialists and liberals.
John McCain's bold choice of the unabashed pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-liberty, small government, strong defense, fiscal conservative, Sarah Palin, signifies a return to conservatism within the Republican Party.
And the fact that Republicans and conservatives of every stripe, including the Christian right are flocking to her side and that the conservative grassroots has been re-energized literally overnight is proof that when offered the choice of truly conservative candidates, conservatives and Republicans will react accordingly.
Even though I've stated in the past that I would not vote for McCain, I will be supporting this ticket. Governor Palin is a God-fearing, kick butt conservative and I'd much rather have her advising and standing in the wings for the presidency than Joe Biden. I'll definitely pull the lever for her. And I'll do all I possibly can to keep the America-hating Marxist Barack Hussein Obama out of the White House.
Do it for Life. Do it for Liberty. Do it for our troops. Do it for America!
I resemble that remark....
:^)
Palin/ Watts 2012
thank you Jim because if it wasn’t for your advocacy against pr-abortion, anti-gun RINO’s during the primary (RINO’s that had the support of many conservatives!) we would have been stuck with one for VP.
PALIN / STEELE 2012
STEELE / JINDAL 2020
For the first time in my life I’m not ashamed of reading Free Republic....
Good to “see” you!
Now let’s go kick some socialist, Marxist butt—Palin-style!
Palin a reformer in Alaska? Perhaps, but to what end.
McCain a reformer? HA! He's a D.C. insider of the worst order. The only thing he's capable of reforming is his lobbyist campaign staff from one set to another.
Good luck with that. In the meantime, we're screwed.
Cordially,
TADSLOS
I took that as more of a lament than a complaint; many of us had pretty much given up on black voters as potential allies.
While I believe McCain is 100% sincere in his love and commitment to America, I question his judgment on a few key issues. Especially since neither candidate said a single word about illegal immigration during the convention.
I certainly hope their gratitude shown at the convention carries into the White House. While a President should work for all Americans, putting America first is what I expect.
Thank you Mr. Jim...YOU SIR ARE A GREAT AMERICAN!!!
YEAH!!!!!!!! Best news in awhile.
Page refreshes just went from molasses to snappy !
The “Top Gun” soundtrack is a great driving music. Kenny Loggins “Danger Zone” starts it off on a high note and it keeps going.
Hey Trooper, how is the campaign going?
I am most curious. What was your course before Senator John McCain selected Governor Sarah Palin for his running mate.
The deal breaker for me before Palin was who would appoint Supreme Court Judges. As soon as I saw Obama's criteria for selecting Judges I knew I would be voting for John McCain.
In Obamas words, "We need somebody who's got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it's like to be a young teenage mom," and "The empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that's the criteria by which I'm going to be selecting my judges."
Sarah Palin appeared as that rare political candidate who felt entirely comfortable serving the people she governed. She made me believe that as Vice President she would be equally comfortable putting her country first.
Sarah Palin caused me to re-exam what I had missed in John McCains previous campaigns. John McCains country first goal had been there all along but my distrust of the corrupted Democrat and Republican political parties caused me to overlook his purpose.
The nation has the rare opportunity to elect two people who believe their words to put country first.
Sarah Palin provided me a proud reason to work toward electing John McCain.
Glad to see you, Jim. ;-)))
well, I must say, I was voting for John McCain before he picked Sarah Palin....but only because I had to, there was no other choice.....
and now I’m deliriously happy about it.
She gives me a measure of hope that I didn’t have before!
God bless America!!!
Glad you’re feeling better, dear friend!
Go McCain/Palin................YIPPEE!!!!!
“I listened to his speech and found that he offered absolutely nothing new. Well, nothing new for McCain. He said the same old thing he has always said. And it was then I realized that I could trust McCain. At least I could trust McCain to always be McCain. “
but most Americans didn’t hear it until now. Everything was Obama, Obama, Obama and only a couple hundred here and there to listen to what McCain had to say on school choice or tax cuts.
