David Carr seems to get it...somewhat.
How did this slip through?

They are probably planning a real hit job on her and printed this so they could claim they are “balanced”. Although that’s rarely been necessary before.

People like Carr and the rest of the cretins at NYT make me proud to be from rural fly-over country.
They can all pound salt.

I think Mr. Carr's wife informed him he better treat Sarah with respect.
If not, the sofa would need reupholstering before he would be allowed to return to the bedroom.

Bravo Sierra. This is nothing but forced self-deprecation by a representative of a narcissistic pseudo-profession as a tool to disarm the rubes. This guy’s article is too precious for words, but no one should take this seriously. IMHO

The backlash against the media’s anti-Palin jihad seems to have rattled a few cages. Looks like the NYT is going to retract its fangs and lie low for a bit.

better suited to be a calendar model for a local auto body shop than a holder of the second-highest office in the land. These elitists despise average American people.
Let some of those people (like Palin) do something extraordinary and they become apoplectic.
The modern MSM is full of scum and they hate us.
And the feeling is mutual.

Ms. Palin, a woman who clearly understands the power of words, had a way of pronouncing media MEE-de-ah that made it sound like something legless and slithering. If it wasnt the NYSLIMES being disengenuous, this would be my quote of the day.

Did anyone see Rick Sanchez tonight discussing Sarah Palin? Rich Sanchez said that the McCain camp had referred to Obama as Jesus and Mrs.Palin, like Pontius Pilot, govenor. I thought I read an article on FR today which quoted Donna Barzile as saying that. As a matter of fact I believe the Youtube video of that was posted. In a hit-piece by Sanchez tonight he attributed that to the McCain camp. Does anyone have a chronology on this?

Conservatives have a bad history with The New York Times, she said, looking at my press ID, still smiling and still very friendly. How can I be sure that you wont take my words and twist them to suit some agenda that you already have? If this was all I knew about Palin - that she was able to confront this man in a firm but honest fashion - she would have my vote../

Not a bad piece. Since they are selectively choosing who interviews her, you think everyone is trying to put on a "nice" face so they, too, can interview the next VP? Some classic lines in this though, for instance: ...is it O.K. to wear fur as long as you killed the animal yourself?

Palin is so good at playing the media because she IS the media. She has a degree in journalism and worked as a TV broadcaster. As an insider, she knows the profession’s vulnerabilities.

The NYT is scaling back their vitriol against Palin. Perhaps it’s because they know obama is done and that Palin is the next VP. They want to ensure some access to the future McCain admin.
