I think this is a VERY telling freudian slip by Barrack.
Good point. She wasn't even considered. It was as if putting a female in charge was literally unthinkable.

Do you think it would be a problem if he really WERE a muslim? The koran is wholly at odds with Western Civilization and many of us will not simply accept the word of an author or Obama without looking at the many clues that would make any reasonable person suspicious. Aside from that, we MUST use every opportunity to cast doubt into the minds of voters who simply AREN’T paying attention to this dangerous candidate. If this “gaffe” could possibly cost Hussein thousands of votes, it is certainly worth putting out there.
The set up and question by GS was, “You mention your Christian faith. Yesterday you took off after the Republicans for suggesting you have Muslim connections. Just a few minutes ago, Rick Davis, John McCain’s campaign manager, said they’ve never done that, This is a false and cynical attempt to play victim.”
THAT WAS THE CONTEXT - the charge that BHO is a Muslim, or at least has Muslim connections. That’s what he’s responding to. After he tries to blame Team McCain for these ‘rumors”, GS forces him to back pedal by informing him that Team McCain has never done that.
Then, Obama makes the suspect statement, as he tries to say that GS is right, that McCain has never said he’s a Muslim.
But get over it: Obama is not ‘admitting’ that he’s a Muslim. Those on FR who are making that contention are engaging in wishful thinking. This thing is going nowhere, and will make FR look like a rumor mongering website.
(I believe that BHO was trained at an early age to be a Muslim, but we cannot prove that because the records have been disappeared. IOW, somebody made them disappear. This sound bite doesn’t prove it either, so we should get off it.)

I actually heard good news on that front. My ex is a Teamster and used to be the lone conservative voice. He said this time his work group is split about 50/50 over McCain and Obama. His brother, who has voted D for years, might be voting for McCain, too. This is in the Peoples Republic of Washington state.
Generally, however, I am scared of the tactics they will pull to win this, including the dead, illegals, etc. I remember when they were giving cartons of cigarrettes to bums to get them to vote D.

In the full interview he says that he was saying that McCain hasn’t suggested that he was muslim. He explains it quite well, unfortunately.
