The set up and question by GS was, “You mention your Christian faith. Yesterday you took off after the Republicans for suggesting you have Muslim connections. Just a few minutes ago, Rick Davis, John McCain’s campaign manager, said they’ve never done that, This is a false and cynical attempt to play victim.”
THAT WAS THE CONTEXT - the charge that BHO is a Muslim, or at least has Muslim connections. That’s what he’s responding to. After he tries to blame Team McCain for these ‘rumors”, GS forces him to back pedal by informing him that Team McCain has never done that.
Then, Obama makes the suspect statement, as he tries to say that GS is right, that McCain has never said he’s a Muslim.
But get over it: Obama is not ‘admitting’ that he’s a Muslim. Those on FR who are making that contention are engaging in wishful thinking. This thing is going nowhere, and will make FR look like a rumor mongering website.
(I believe that BHO was trained at an early age to be a Muslim, but we cannot prove that because the records have been disappeared. IOW, somebody made them disappear. This sound bite doesn’t prove it either, so we should get off it.)

I completely understand your perspective, and it’s good to keep an open mind. But why did he use the word “my” in reference to ‘Muslim faith’ instead of a generic, or non-specific modifier? Freudian, indeed!
I agree with your analysis, but really: Nitally Lions, I’m President, My Muslim faith. All in one week? his guy is either a gaffe machine or feeling seriously hunted.
"Freudian slips", by definition, aren't admissions. They're "slips". Hence the term.
Maybe if Mr. Obama didn't have a Muslim name, a Muslim father, a Muslim step-father, didn't grow up in a overwhelmingly Muslim country and register as a Muslim at two schools, didn't receive financial support and political favors from a Muslim adviser to a Muslim Saudi Prince and didn't campaign for a radical Muslim to be Prime Minister of Kenya -- maybe this wouldn't be getting so much attention.
So what you are trying to say is that everything points to Obama being a muslim and you think he is, too, but we can’t prove it so just let it go and let him destroy the country. Gotcha!
A Christian who was truly saved from a muslim/atheistic childhood wouldn’t have said “my muslim faith”.
