People should have one meat-free day a week if they want to make a personal and effective sacrifice that would help tackle climate change, the world's leading authority on global warming has told The Observer
Dr Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which last year earned a joint share of the Nobel Peace Prize, said that people should then go on to reduce their meat consumption even further.
His comments are the most controversial advice yet provided by the panel on how individuals can help tackle global warning.

7 billion people eating beans for protein sources will not bode well for global warming either. How do I know? My ex fiancee begged for me to eat meat because she couldn’t handle my vegan flatus.

I suggest eating more UN diplomats. That would curb more hot air than anything else of equal volume.

The reason they want us to eat less meat is that vegetarians become more pacifistic over time. It has to do with hormone levels falling without meats. That way, if we become a vegetarian nation we become a pacifist nation and then are vulnerable.

Well, I was goin to make a chaf salad for dinner tonight (although my salads contain bacon, ham and turkey hehe) — but now I think a Rib Eye on the grill (with lots of SMOKE into the atmosphere), a baked potato and corn on the cob is in order. :-)

I say we put Dr Rajendra Pachauri, the IPCC and the UN member delegates on a Fast of 1 week every month. If they can maintain this for a year, we will consider reducing our meat consumption.

So how does this work with Ted Nugent, for example, who eats meat from animals he has hunted? Why does this reduce global warming, if people are eating game?
