The question for us is (and maybe it should be a different thread but I think it's all related):

How do WE avoid being surprised by the next time a Sarah Palin selection comes along? Joe Biden has been on these shows so many times he probably has a chair with his name on it, but, of the 50 (or 57) Governors in this country, how many have been on any of the Sunday morning shows in order to be introduced to the country?

Either we start pushing the shows to widen their guest list, or we get some new shows, or we watch C-SPAN all day long every day trying to figure out who's out there that could be the next big name.

Kurtz two cents: Media has the right to talk to her and about her. He recognizes the backlash and said he already sees some of the coverage changing. He does not mention the poll where 51% of the people think the media is working to destroy Palin. Although I like Kurtz, his honesty and forth rightedness is severely lacking.

I wasn't all that surprised by the choice of Palin. I got interested in her last year when she came out swinging against the US congress over ANWR and was one of a small - or we thought there weren't very many of us - group that was pushing her for consideration as a VP pick. The only surprise was that he actually chose her.

It would have been a bad idea to choose her of Obama has priced Hillary or some other woman as a running mate, because the media would have marketed it as pandering. But Obama chose Biden, walking into a political $hit storm, heheheheheh.

I'm off. Will check back in later.
