Good point! And, we know - wink, wink - how Edwards energized his base.
Brit Hume made a comment, that VP candidates bring a state or a set of skills or experience needed by the Presidential candidate. He said, to his knowledge, Sarah Palin is the first VP candidate that has impacted every aspect of a presidential candidates campaign across the entire nation.
Hume is right, I think. Sarah Palin has impacted the McCain campaign beyond the wildest beliefs. The concern Hume, and others, have now is whether this will hold of if something can derail her VP campaign.
Time will tell and my bet’s on Sarah, but her entrance certainly has risen the entire debate.
Missed you hereabouts today snugs, how was dinner?
Dinner was great - lamb and trifle again (not on the same plate :o)
Sorry not around today but had a lot of work to do round the house well garden actually and also have a dose thread to prepare so rather busy today.
Hopefully I can join you all next week though.
Hahaha like minds, don’t mess with Sarah DBM
Don’t look now but Hannah is going to make a guest appearance in the UK before too long.
I’m hoping Sarah Palin will offer them some Moose stew so we can watch them all barf.
Thanks for at least checking in, snugs. There’s something very calming about your Sunday dinners. Maybe because I imagine that in your hearty English way, you would have would have whipped up a trifle even if we were back in WWII and you were in London during the bombing. It’s nice to know that life and tradition go on.
I am surprised you are about today when I saw that the Keys were getting hit, did your daughter have to get out?
From the NYT: "If you talk to Warren [Buffet], hell tell you his preference is not to meddle in the economy at all let the market work, however way its going to work, and then just tax the heck out of people at the end and just redistribute it," Obama said.
ROFL!!
Excellent suggestion!
I heard him. He was not impressive.
He rambled, repeated himself several times and at times was snarly to Tom Brokaw. He appeared to be peeved that some of the questions were even being asked of him.
His demeanor and temperament, if he can't get that under control will be in issue in the debate.
Make sure you guys upload the video from youtube, it will be gone soon... trust me.

hahahahaha good one,she may take dick Cheneys place in more ways than we know.
The plan is for them to come up here tomorrow as the Lower Keys should get a much worse hit than upper.
Isn't it about time they put that Swayback Gluepot Nag out to pasture??
Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops
Roundtable: Obama Economic Policy
C-SPAN
Today at 3:53 PM ET. 31 minutes
Watching Austan Goolsbee Barak 0bama for President Economic Adviser, right now, he’s not convincing me of anything substantial yet, except the rich will get taxed, leaving the working class with less opportuniy.
Goolsbee “He is not a protectionist”
Goolsbee “he is not for building a moat around the country”
,The guy never answered a question and when Chris called him on it the AX shouted wallace down most of the time. Really pathetic.
