An amnesty will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen and make the Dems the permanent majority party.

I’m pretty sick of the threat that a Democrat president will push amnesty through a democrat controlled congress. Bush pushed amnesty for a democrat controlled congress and we the people still stopped it.

First, an amnesty bill passed the Senate in 2006, S-2611. While you are patting yourself on the back for stopping amnesty--McCain-Kennedy, the forces for it [Dems, RINOs, US Chamber of Commerce, labor unions, ACLU, Catholic Church, La Raza, etc.] will continue to press for it. Subsequent to the defeat of McCain-Kennedy, they tried to pass amnesty piecemeal by attaching the Dream Act to the DOD appropriations bill and a guest worker program to the Ag bill. The Dems are in the process of eviscerating 287 [g] authority and eliminating the e-verify program, which expires in November.

Time is on the side of the pro-amnesty crowd as the Hispanic political influence broadens in this country. By 2050, Hispanics will be almost one in three in this country up from the current 15%. Approximately two-thirds of the 1.2 million legal immigrants who enter this country annually are Hispanic and comprise the overwhelming majority of the 500,000 to 1 million who enter illegally. Generally, immigrants vote for the Dems. One in 8 residents of America are foreign-born, the highest it has been in 85 years. In a decade or so it will be one in seven the highest in our history, and by 2050, it will be one in 5.

Amazing as it may seem, we’re all constituents no matter who gets elected and we have the same voice. As pathetic as Debbie Stabenow is, we still manage to get some decent immigration votes out of her through the threat of removal from office..

The Dems will vote for amnesty except for the blue dogs. A McCain presidency will give the RINOs in the Senate the political cover they need to vote for amnesty. McCain will use his election as a mandate to carry thru with his policies. I suggest you go to McCain's official website and see what his policy is on immigration and border security. You are in for a suprise, especially the part about the "undocumented." McCain can't even call them illegal aliens.

McCain won and the country lost, by a lot. Amnesty will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen.

America’s future can be seen in the marxists who run all over central and south America. Our “leaders” couldn’t care less as long as they get to be at the top of that pile.

I agree. The corporate and political elites of either party could care less what the people want. For example, 85% of the American people want English designated as the official language yet McCain and Obama have voted against it. In terms of the immigration issue, what kind of choice are we being offered—tweedledum and tweedledee?

BUILD...THE...FENCE

By all means. Focus only on that.

The illegal aliens need the exercise.

Wouldn't it be a lot smarter not to obsess over the physical wall and also focus on ALL the other measures besides the physical wall needed to make border security a reality?

Ya know ...... Like McCain has done?

"I believe we must have comprehensive immigration reform. The American people want our borders secured first," McCain said during a news conference in Mexico City. .... "That will require some walls. It will require virtual fences. It will require high-technology equipment. We must secure our borders, and then we will address the issue of comprehensive immigration reform." .... Some Mexicans called that the wrong strategy.

Alright, so all you trolls, and that is what you are, that are making a big deal out of this .... calex59

Are you suggesting that border security and the problem of millions of illegal aliens (who are criminals in violation of U.S. law) present on U.S. territory shouldn't be "a big deal"? The fact that you immediately resort to calling us trolls is very telling. ... rabscuttle385

Calex59 is correct. You guys of the "Trash McCain First - Country Second" crowd are trolls.

You totally ignore McCain's actual position on border security. You do not consider that, although red meat works great on Free Republic, it does not work well on the national TV audience of millions of Reagan Democrats we need to defeat Obama in November.

All you people care about is trashing McCain .... Even if it means helping Barack Obama win the White House so that the very issues that you claim to care about will be steered to the far Left.

We have two months remaining to defeat Barack Obama and you people are still proudly flying your "Trash McCain First - Country Second" banners.

You have become the Michael Moores of Free Republic.

Who is trying to "silence" you?

No "ABUSE" buttons have been pushed.

I have pointed out that you people are proudly flying your "Trash McCain First - Country Second" banners and you responded by saluting your "Trash McCain First - Country Second" banner.

"EAGLES UP" !!

That is what Free Republic was made for.

Promoting independent conservatism and fighting government largesse and corruption, and having a good time at it, too! Also, shutting down the newbies who sign up just to promote one narrow candidate, never gave ANYTHING to FR, donated to no Freepathons, and would just as soon be gone from here the morning after Election Day.

Smoking out all kinds of folks. Life is gooooooooood.

They, and Lindsay Graham, will say "we dont want to look like racists in the media", or "the bigots can shut up"-- a lot like what you are hearing here on FR out of the mouths of newbie McCainiacs and trolls and old-timer Open Borders/Republican Firsters here.

They have not changed their tune since and before La Raza 2007 and Comprehensive Amnesty Reform, so their actions against the

THE ST. PAUL FOUR

show them up exactly for what they ARE and for what they will DO with executive power come January, Sarah Palin or no Sarah Palin in D.C..

I apologize. I had not heard that he had turned over a new leaf on this issue completely.

When was it that he asked foreign agent Juan Hernandez to tender his resignation? I forgot. Please excuse.

I do not question your patriotism, sir, nor your stupidity.

You are free to think I am stupid, too, if you wish; that is fine. We can argue these points.

But don't you dare question MY patriotism. Got it?

Don't start in on that crap. We will not accept it.

you could care less

If you paid attention to what I wrote, there’s nothing in there about not caring less. Its saying don’t use Obamadanation-ramnalama-dingdong (whatever) as an excuse for McCain not owning up to his actions of record.

“I think we can find out who those four were (I bet they were Freepers)...if someone could do that part of the heavy lifting it would be appreciated...”

I believe that this is the slogan of a campaign by grassfire.org, you might ask them if they know the boys.

I wrote a piece a couple of days ago, which contains a couple of paragraphs that summarize the problem this issue over border security signs on the floor of the RNC highlights so well:

"There was much talk in St. Paul about National Security, and protecting our country from the terrorist threat. But again, Palin’s text neglected to mention, even once, the threat posed by the ongoing unlawful invasion of our country by tens of millions of foreign nationals, and the fact that no one knows who these people are or where they came from. Again, this is not surprising, since the folks vetting the speech work faithfully for the godfather of amnesty for illegal aliens, Senator John McCain, and they very much want our national back door left wide open."

"I’ll be charitable to all those good folks who are now panting after the red meat promised by this nomination. I know you’re hungry for some real meaning in your politics. But I’ll not be shy about raising the warning flag: with John McCain at the head of the ticket, you’re not going to get to eat anything you really need. In their own political interest, the compromised “leaders” of the Republican Party are more than happy to let you, or Sarah Palin, pull up a chair, but you’ll only get what they decide is good for you. And that won’t include reliance upon God, the defense of traditional marriage, our borders, or the principled protection of the unalienable rights to life and liberty. They are embarrassed by all of that. The sign on the wall clearly says, “We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.” Those who insist on the inclusion of these fundamental matters of national survival can expect to be shown the door. As the hokey John Rich country tune “Raisin’ McCain” says, “Get on the train or get out of the way.”"

Reportedly, the young men who scrawled this sign were told by the SS agent that "the control room" wanted their message gone.

Conservatives better wake up to who is running that control room. Hint: when the McCain campaign didn't have any money, they were on the Soros-funded payroll of the Reform Institute.

McCain's actual position on border security

Actions speak louder than words. The McCain-Kennedy Immigration Reform Bill speaks clearly of his position since he's the co-author. McCain-Kennedy establishes an illegal alien worker visa program. It is, in effect, an amnesty--which undercuts the rule of law by rewarding those who have acted wrongly and will only encourage further illegal entry.

Obama or NObama, McCain need to answer for this and the McCain-Feingold violation of 1st Amendment rights. Here, McCain IS working for himself and is NOT working for the American people.

McPain has been clear on that ... OPEN BORDERS after a supposed fence is built. Look he wants the Hispanic vote. He assumes all Hiapnaics want OPEN BORDERS. LEGAL hispanics don’t want OPEN BORDERS.

The choice is this, McPain or the Obomination. The Obomination will surely destroy this country. McPain will ruin it but not as bad.

Sarah is AGAINST OPEN BORDERS and ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and WANT A FENCE.
