Those letters are a real ‘joy’ to read. (the comments section for Maher’s nonsense. Vicious bigots, almost all of them.
What’s worse is how they think they’re being funny and their jokes don’t ring true because most of the conservative and libertarian-leaning people I know don’t fit either of their two dominant stereotypes. In fact, I’ve met more ‘white trash’ Iowans who are Obamidiots than I would have thought possible.

There is nothing wrong with the fact that Obama speaks articulately, and is seemingly intelligent (57 states?).
What is racist is that the MSM and DNC locked onto those attributes, as if Obama was the only black person that ever had them.

I don't think this is racism, I think this is the typical template of the MSM that the liberal candidate is some kind of a genius and the conservative candidate is some kind of a fool.
In my lifetime, the world according to the MSM:
Eisenhower - nice old man, probably not totally with it. Stevenson - a super genius.
Nixon (I) - Eisenhower's stooge, not very bright. Kennedy - a young fresh face full of new ideas.
Goldwater - the cowboy/caveman who wants to start a nuclear war. Johnson - the steady old hand whose cunning ran the Senate for FDR.
Nixon (II) - the return of Eisenhower's stooge, but better on TV. Humphrey - the thoughtful, sensitive social worker from the northern prairie.
Nixon (III) - OK he's not stupid after all. But his intelligence is diabolical. McGovern - same as Humphrey, but with a vision.
Ford - inept, out-of-touch and too stupid for words. Carter (I) - a "nuclear engineer."
Reagan - even stupider than Ford, if that's possible. Just an actor. Carter (II) - Can't succeed because he's too thoughtful for Washington.
Bush Sr. - maybe he is smart, but nobody can tell because he mangles English so badly. Clinton - the boy genius, and his sidekick: The Smartest Woman in the World.
Bob Dole - the hapless old man.
Bush Jr. - a chimp. Al Gore - smarter than a room full of scientists.
John Kerry - too smart to be electable by us yokels. We just can't grok his nuance.
John McCain - a senile old man. Barack Obama - the latest in an unbroken line of Democrat geniuses.
Bonus comparison: Sarah Palin - an ex-beauty queen, small town mayor, hunter and Evangelical: all code words in the Democrat lexicon for Stupid with a capital "S". Hillary Clinton - what needs to be said?
Sorry, but given the narrative of the last nearly 60 years, I don't buy the portrayal of BHO as articulate and smart as anything other than more of the same old crap. Racism has nothing to do with it. We're stupid, the Dems are smart. Always been that way, always will.
