...Barack Obama reported raising at least $10 million from more than 130,000 donors today after Palin, the Alaska governor, addressed the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, and criticized the Democratic presidential nominee. ``Sarah Palin's attacks have rallied our supporters in ways we never expected,'' Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said. ``And we fully expect John McCain's attacks tonight to help us make our grassroots organization even stronger.''

From the FEC database, dated 7/31/08:
B. Hussein Obama had almost $66 million in cash and $1 million in debt.
McCain had almost $33 million in cash and $2 million in debt.
McCain did have a huge month in August; haven’t heard the Obamessiah’s numbers yet. These numbers may not reflect ad buys locked in early.

If Palin’s speech was a flop he would have gotten $0. The lefties would have thought it was going to be a shoe-in. It’s an indication of how great she did.

I didn’t read the article, so maybe it was in there, but does it mention how much money McCain/Palin or RNC has taken in since McCain introduced her last Friday?

Not sure which thread I read it on, but the McCain Campaign raised $7 million IMMEDIATELY after he announced his VP pick, within 24 hours...They raised about $10 million over the holiday weekend. About $7 million was/should have been accounted for in the approx. $47 million McCain reported for August. The remaining $3 mil or so was on 1 Sep.

Hmm...CNN reports Obama raised 8 mil from 130,000 voters. That’s what they had posted earlier...about 30 minutes ago.

I heard a commentator last night say that Obama has been going through his money faster than it is coming in. If true, could that indicate a problem in him planning on the fund raising to pay his expenses?

And all:
I barely heard Rush mention something today about Obama spending far more than they were taking in, and that he was on track to be out of money before this?
Can someone provide details?

His only claim, so far, to executive experience is that he's been running a successful campaign. Ruh-roh. Serious lack of judgment in money matters here.

Gee wiz I didn't know the passed due bill for empty Styrofoam columns were $ 10 Million dollars...I guess the price of petroleum had something to do with it.

Ok. Ok. Calming. Calmer. I feel the oceans receding and the planet starting to heal. Yeah, right. I’ll feel a lot better when/if the MSM starts holding him accountable for all his claims. I just won’t hold my breath.

I thought everyone was broke and couldn't afford even a loaf of bread. Due to the oppressive, racist policies of the Bush administration? Yes, I believe that's the standard storyline. Perhaps they initiated an early windfall tax on evil big oil! :-)
