I rememebr reading that out on the campaign trail one of his aides has to fix his hair if it gets mussed, because McCain can’t reach.
The horror this man endured...

Palin/Frowny '12--I can already see the slogan: "He's had her back for four years. Now he has yours!" :) LMAO!! I thought we lost ya for a while!

Fortunately, mainstreet USA doesn’t care what the talking heads have to say.

I hope you know how much I admire your hard work for our troops. Let me add that the hard work never stops.
We need to protect our troops with a CIC who stands for integrity and courage. MacCain and Palin come from the heart, Obama comes from the ego. WE just can't let him win.
Hugs to you~

Ignore him.
I've heard McCain's POW story before, told from other people.
I have never heard John McCain tell his experiences as a POW in the detail that he spoke of tonight.
It reminded me of other Vietnam veterans who I've spoken with, who, after all these years, are still uncomfortable with talking about it all.
If you paid attention ...REALLY PAID ATTENTION ... and if you've had the distinct honor to share the intimacy of a Vietnam veteran's story, you might have noticed what John said tonight.
For the first time that I've heard him talk about it, he shared the details of the emotional pain he endured.
He told the story of when his tormentors broke him. And how he was saved both physically and spiritually by his fellow POW’s.
There are some disagreements that I have with McCain, and I will fight him all the way on them.
But for anyone to say that he should stop talking about his experiences as a p:ow - well that's just plain asinine!
God bless him and all POW’s for what they endured! And for what they continue to endure every single day of their lives.

LOL...I wonder (and I know I shouldn’t) but I am guessing Gov. Palin’s codename would be ‘Barracuda?’

AMEN! My husband, Vietnam vet, not so pleased with McCain back in the day. Something to do with POW’s and Kerry. But he’s on board now. He’s excited.

Too obvious. It’s probably something we’d never think of like mashed potatoes.

“The McCain boys and Palins son are active duty military. Just curious, is there a reason why they aren't wearing their uniforms? That would have been an awesome touch.”
Interesting question. And it raises more questions. The UCMJ stated we had to distance ourselves from Political activism. I can't remember how it was worded. Has me wondering, what if your Mom is running for VP?

I had to take a bathroom break :) Then the thread ran away from me--seems like it's moving faster now than during the speeches.
I jumped over a few hundred posts and skipped to the end :)
