Looks like most of the talking heads hated it. Reactions range from OK to worst speech in convention history.

We'll see what the American people thought of it in a few days.

I was watching Fox and they showed a shot of those stupid balloons instead of the entrance on the stage of the families. I was screaming at the T.V., “POINT TO THE STAGE IDIOTS! POINT THE CAMERA AT THE STAGE! WHO CARES ABOUT THE FLIPPIN BALLOONS!” It felt like an eternity before they finally showed the families. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

He actually used it as a deprecating story about how it changed him, not to garner votes as some great POW hero.

Iam not critizing Sen. McCain but the way the convention has presented his story. I like Thompson's speech and he handled things very well (except the coughs) and the having Cindy add to their life story was great. Add the short movie about MacCain's life I would then let McCain say in his own words about his experiences and that's all. The rest I would give airtime to what McCain would do or compare to Obamba.
