Obama might pursue criminal charges against Bush
Guardian ^ | September 03 2008 | Elana Schor

Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden said yesterday that he and running mate Barack Obama could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.

Biden's comments, first reported by ABC news, attracted little notice on a day dominated by the drama surrounding his Republican counterpart, Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

But his statements represent the Democrats' strongest vow so far this year to investigate alleged misdeeds committed during the Bush years.

"If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued," Biden said during a campaign event in Deerfield Beach, Florida, according to ABC.

"[N]ot out of vengeance, not out of retribution," he added, "out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president -- no one is above the law."

Oh, you know they will.

They’ll tie up our time, TAX DOLLARS and ruin the country on their quest for REVENGE because we ‘tarmished’ their dear, dear Bubba.

Man, he did it to himself. And if it weren’t for ONE vote, we’d have been rid of that creep forever! Grrrrrrr!

I would love to see Bush resign to head back to Crawford right after the election..... not that I want him out, but the joy of watching the libs squeel with a President Cheney would be priceless!!! He could then appoint Condi VP and she would be the first female VP to be suceeded by the the next female VP Sara Palin !!
Thank God for George Bush..... and Texas will welcome him home !!!!

gee, talk about carrying on failed policies, they have been after Bush for years,,wasting their time and our money, instead of doing anything constructive,,now it is going to carry on in this fantasy administration,,these people are truly pure communists and this current congress is the most treasonous bunch of scoundrels ever assembled in one place, but there are some good conservatives in there, too, who are outnumbered, sadly.

It’s that “hope” and “change” and “new tone” they’ve been talking about: Basically, Stalinist purges.

Let the Commie muzzie try it. The muzzie haven’t taken this country over completely yet. His getting elected won’t change that.

For the President to be arrested he has to be impeached. To be impeached he has to be President. Once he retires, although not directly addressed in the Constitution, the President enjoys absolute immunity due to the nature of his unique office, the doctrine of the separation of powers, and the unique burden it would entail to the normal functioning of government. Our neo-socialist party aka the Democrats would like to challenge these legal traditions and perform politically motivated legal purges unheard before of in American politics, which would amount to a bloodless coup.

damn good point...too bad no media tools there have the brains to think of that or the guts to point it out!

hypocrats always demonize politics and try to criminalize their opponents...when the whole sane portion of the nation wished treasonous hypocrats were the ones locked up or worse!

If Obama wins, I'm organizing a cell of civil resistance — that is, within the law, but resisting every unlawful or badly-planned move he makes.

OBAMA, a Third World offspring who will drag us down to Third World levels of totalitarian government. A common practice in AFRICA: Persecute, prosecute, jail your predecessors. That is why African “leaders” are so reluctant to leave office. When his turn comes, we can expect proud son of Africa Obama to use all the muscle he can to stifle dissent and criminalize opposition.
