Liebermann certainly isn’t getting the response Zell did in 2004 but it ain’t bad.

This is not a red meat speech as Zell’s was... this is intended and aimed STRAIGHT at the independents/ moderates/ swayable Democrats.

Excellent job, too.

Your second point is the reason for your first point. He isn't looking for that kind of response from the floor, at any rate. If he were getting that kind of response, he would be off-message.

But *because* of point one, point two is valid, and thus point 3 (He's doing an excellent job at aiming for his target audience) likewise hold true.

He is accomplishing the goal he and McCain had for him to accomplish tonight...

I'm watching MSNBC now Chrissy and Olbermann appear to be subdued... Newt is being interview on the floor and is giving MSNBC the business!

Newt: "I don't know why you guys keep saying this!" He said Obama has no executive experience and there is no comparison between the Pain and Obama on this issue. The reporter said he's not going to argue with him... after Newt tore PMSNBC a new(t) one. LoL!

Karl says that Joe's speech was the highlight of the night...he blew up Barry. Karl thinks Fred should have gone last because it was red meat.

She had a minor point. It may have made more sense to put Lieberman first, when democrats would have turned on to hear him. Putting Fred first could have made the democrats turn off before Lieberman showed up.

Karl Rove says the same thing, plus Fred was more red meat and would have let the republicans leave on a higher note.

However, I think the point of Joe 2nd is that it leaves the undecideds with the thought to change their vote.

“That is true.. I just hope we don’t have another Civil War. It would make the first one look like a picnic.”

Not really, when our side has guns and their side has bags of crap.

KRove saying Thompson’s speech was more red meat .. thinks it maybe should’ve been the last speech.

Says the more important speech was Lieberman’s ..... think about it: 8 years ago, he was the Dim VP candidate.

And to remember: Lieberman wasn’t speaking to the people in the hall .. he was speaking to the country, and that it was very important.

Mine was he won’t look overseas to America’s enemies for his approval and his own validation.

In my words of course...but that will leave a mark!
