"Since Sarah Palin has a young baby, and it is recommended to nurse young babies, this is a reasonable argument."

That was simple minded. Breast pump. Bottle.

Only if you think the only benefit of breast feeding is nutrition. There's also bonding that goes on and is very important for the infant. And for most mothers.

I'm thinking now Palin was chosen so the part of America that identifies with neglected children, working mothers, and screwed up families can identify with the GOP. She might be politically conservative, but not with how she runs her own life. Republicans used to be better than this.

I'm thinking not.

How is Palin not conservative with how she runs her personal life? Because her teen daughter became pregnant? What else am I missing?

LOL. No bonding, neglected and screwed up?
As for working political mothers, she could morally refuse leadership. But as the saying goes, evil triumphs when good mothers do nothing.

“I’m thinking now Palin was chosen so the part of America that identifies with neglected children, working mothers, and screwed up families can identify with the GOP.”

I’m kind of amazed at the number of people that fit the description. Do you think McCain is that calculating?

When I grew up a pregnant teen was considered a girl in trouble. Now it seems to be considered...even here... No “big deal”. Let’s just forgive and forget. The other choice is forgive and fix...and make sure it does not happen again.

My husband has a similar theory. He was all for Romney (since hubby is more moderate than I and an MBA and tall to boot, he feels a certain kinship, perhaps) but then said that Romney would seem to “perfect”. Heaven forbid we have a candidate with a family that isn’t messed up to some degree . . .

Un-freaking-believable statement. If you family is not sinless you're not a conservative?

You people have gone over the edge.
