ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

That’s good, I’m glad to hear we’re only marginally intertwined with the nutroots.

Now all that’s left is to sit back and see how mccain handles this tempest in a teaspoon.

We’re going to have a First Grandchild coming to the White House. Whoopee! And a First Baby too, with Little Mister Trig.

You're getting rid of McCain awful fast, aren't you?

Wow...you love to repeat yourself. Not very original, eh, pissant?

That is the EXACT statement you made this morning on a similar thread.

Everyone/All...pissant has a mission, he/she/it hates John McCain and spends all his/her/it's time trashing him, that is when he/she/it is not trying to prove Obama's birth certificate a fraud.

So, since he/she/it hates McCain and Obama rather equally...he/she/it must either be a Paulite, a Barr, Nader, or a holdover hillary supporter.

His/her/it's posts get very monotonous...always the same old same old...no surprises, no flavor. *yawn*

It is interesting that Daily Kos is now a Main Stream quoted sourced now.

This is a complete breakdown of society...

A: Did he say that stuff?

B: The entire post is a Daily Kos quotes.

Daily Kos content is apparently now quoted material for the Post. Unreal

McCain shouldn't have asked her, and she shouldn't have accepted. I was one of the 2% who voted on the freeper poll recently that this would make me less likely to vote for McCain. And that was before I knew about this daughter getting pregnant at 16. McCain promised to pick someone who was ready on day one to be president. Sarah Palin, however quick a study, just doesn't have time to be ready by January 20th, not with a special needs infant to worry about, legal problems/impeachment worries at home, still being governor, and on the campaign trail!

She isn't being fair to her family by exposing them to all this, and, sorry to say, she and McCain aren't being fair to the country.

The father’s own face book posting says that about himself, has a lot of profanity in it...also says he never wants children. I feel sad for Bristol, the father sounds like a real loser. I know there is a strong family values atmosphere in Alaska and that there is a strong compulsion for even the teen fathers to take responsibility(the info I’m seeing suggests that the two are more or less being “shotgunned” to each other”).

Yet the father’s face-book comments would give me pause should my own daughter be found in a similar situation with the same type of creep.

I’m not scared away from Sarah Palin, indeed I feel more protective of her like an adopted beloved sister who’s daughter has also just become my adoptive niece.

Let us rise up honorable men of the FreeRepublic and defend this woman and her family as our own! Let us extend our covering to include them!

(and you ladies too...)

Well , well , well , look what we have here.
Romney and friends were already to pounce on Sarah Palin once it was announced that she got the pick as VP and Romney didn't like it...

( To: fightinJAG

GLOVES OFF
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney may be putting on a brave face for the cameras after losing out to Gov. Sarah Palin for the veepship, but his ever-loyal cadre of aides and consultants and conservative media types continue to work for him.

Almost every critical remark made about Palin on a recent briefing call about her selection came from political consultants with ties to Romney. Those comments were planted, says one, because they knew that reporters would be on the call.

PRACTICE AND POLISH Sen. Barack Obama’s pitch perfect response regarding the announcement of an impending birth in the Palin family (”my mother had me when she was 18”) was not without a series of edits and rehearsals, according to some Obama insiders.

“For tough questions we know he will get to questions we plant with reporters that we want asked, [senior campaign staff] will rehearse [Obama’s] answer with him.”

The goal: to get his inflection and tone, as well as the content, just right.

“After he flubbed the hypothetical question about his own daughter’s pregnancy, the campaign has worked with him to avoid what appear to be insensitive or unthoughtful answers,” says an Obama Senate staffer.)

How can you condemn those ( who you think, in your mind, who are condoning Sarah's daughter's premarital sex pregnancy ) when ? we got Mitt Romney ready to pounce on Sarah Palin once she got the VP pick.
Romney is a sleaze ball for doing this
How can you condemn others for having compassion for the Palin family, when, on your high horse won't condemm Mitt Romney and his buddies for his sleaze ball tactics for being ready to pounce on Sarah as soon as she got the pick.... hypocrite...

The most disturbing thing out of this mess is how comfortably people accept the lurid premise of owning a commanding view of personal lives and standing in judgment on them. It's like a bad prime-time reality show and it disgusts me.

Look, I love Dr. Laura and everything, but let's get real here. For centuries, civilizations have done just fine with nannies and boarding schools and governesses, which would be scandalous in today's "social conservative" view. Why, no decent mother would do such a thing! Harrrrruummmphhhhhh!!!

Here's the bottom line: It's none of our business. As Christians, it's none of our business! Would you have someone commanding comment on every decision you made with regard to child rearing and family drama? What if I don't think your "normal" is normal? These people are from Alaska and rugged tough living; "normal" for a commercial fishing family would shock and horrify middle-class America. They'd have a field day judging them on horrible family irresponsibilities!

So you do unto others and treat them with the same respect for dignity and privacy that you'd have them extend to you.

My god, this utter disregard for the personal dignity and privacy of an American family is just sickening.

Greetings rabscuttle385:

Unfortunately, pop culture directly contradicts the message we give our children. Adolescent children at times have a weak moment, hear the siren song, and they become an adult too soon.

Frankly, this only demonstrates the Paulin's have more in common with ordinary Americans than beltway Aristocrats.

Cheers,
OLA

“What would Obama do?”

Abort?

If he could retro-abort himself, that would be the change we can celebrate.

Greetings christianhomeschoolmommaof3:

It’s too bad Conservatives are held to a higher standard than Christians are these days.

Our preacher’s beautiful daughter became an unwed mother while away at college. Fortunately, Bristol Palin, much like your sister, could turn to loving parents; no matter how personally humiliating the event might be for her parents.

Perhaps some in the congregation vilified our preacher, but I wouldn’t have kept company with that sort of crowd. The majority of my congregation prayed for our preacher’s family. Recognizing that none of us are perfect, we’re simply sinful humans. And only by the grace of God that we’re forgiven.

Needless to say, what surprises me how many FReepers are willing to “cast stones” on a Conservative forum. When we should be praying for the Palins.

Cheers,
OLA

I give him credit for getting the ring and doing the right thing

Yes, quite refreshing, one could say this action speaks volumes about the company Bristol Palin keeps.

You do know that by this definition of “abortion”, the female body naturally kills tens of thousands of “babies” all by itself?

Which female body has tens of thousands of fertilized eggs?

If your bizarre claim is true (!), it is something happens naturally, and is not intentionally induced by human action.

You’d have an easier time legalizing herion in this country than outlawing contraceptives.

Who said anything about outlawing contraceptives?

The millions of *real* dead aborted babies—you know, the ones with more than 100 cells—will surely thank you for your principled stand.

So, 100 cells means not human, but 101 means human?

Say whatever you want to salve your conscience, but abortifacients kill human beings.

Opposing the existence or use of birth control isn’t “conservative” or “right” in either sense of the word.

Opposing the killing of the unborn, for convenience, is both conservative and right, even if the unborn has but one cell.

Many appear to be useful idiots for Planned Parenthood without even realizing it.

As everyone knows, PP is a money making machine. I don’t have any data on the breakout, but they make a ton of money off of contraceptive services, knowing quite well that the contraceptive mentality is just the right catalyst for keeping their baby-killing abortion mills running.

have you checked out the poll numbers on outlawing basic contraception?

Huh, let's see what G.K. Chesterton would have to say about that:
