ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

I can't imagine that ANY sane family would "want" this for their teenage daughter, but you don't always get what you want, sometimes you have to play the hand you're dealt.
Sarah Palin and her family are defining figures in the pro-life movement, they have PROVED that commitment to life extends beyond mere platitudes. First with refusing to abort Trig and now with Bristol, they are showing the world that EVERY LIFE has value to our Lord and for that alone they deserve our prayers and admiration.
We are in agreement. My concern is what the jackals in the media and kos are doing.
Nice big rant there... but the fruit was confirmation of sin (if you have problems with me calling it sin, save it for another thread).. not the innocent baby... of course you knew that...
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light..... Isaiah 5:20
I’ve been a lurker for many years and I always respected his opinion. But He seems to have lost his mind on this one. I mean, just read my original post.
I have no such reluctance. I read your original post. Big whoop. It just wasn't that good.
We’ll contact the Palins immediately. We wouldn’t want YOU unhappy!
Amen.
RE “After reading nearly 250 posts, all I can say is:
THE DEMOCRATS BETTER NOT SAY A F-——G THING!!!
When Clinton was getting his Lewinsky’s, all the Democrats said, MOVE ON!!! It’s only sex!
The Democrats better keep their mouths shut on this!”
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amen to your post! How did we skip over the Bill Clinton mess? Young Bristol is not the President, nor a candidate for anything -— she is a pregnant teen whose mom is a Governor who happens to be running for VP. VP, mind you, not even President. Come on — this is SO much ado about nothing.
Nicely said!
I realize that which is why I said, "of course unmmarried pregnacy is wrong". Next time try avoiding what liberals do, which is removing comments from full context.
And dragging Reagan into this argument to somehow give it validity or credibility, is specious at best. Pure sophistry more in tune with the liberal mindset.
Reagan was our best president even though he did conceive a child out of wedlock. Palin I believe will be a fine VP, even though her daughter conceived a child out of wedlock. That comparison needs to be made. Perhaps you don't see it.
I wuuold suggest that "Dragging" Sarah Palin through the garbage I see on this thread is more in tune with a liberal mindset.
Then burn her at the stake Petronski............
July 2008 is "many years"?
navymom, i have been here long enough to see the bad behavior exhibited on this thread time and again. i do think it is a minority view, but it is still upsetting to see it among our number.
I don't cry to the Mods and usually don't press the abuse button either. No need to act like an eight year old, however.
My original remarks were aimed at the politics of the issue and nothing more. Since then some posters have turned their wrath into a personal vendetta. Again, very childish.
Next time, don't play games with me. Thanks
I finally made it to your post. Wow, wish I had seen that earlier, I could have just kept my inept mouth shut. You put it so well and so succinctly!
I have to question the judgment of a woman who would allow a 16 or 17 year old girl to get pregnant. What was the mother thinking not having her on some form of birth control?
Burn her at the stake for not wanting to be your friend or acquaintance, after you said the same of her?
This makes no sense.
Thanks for the clarification. My bad.
