"If unmarried sex is wrong, how can its undeniable consequence be not necessarily wrong?"

(A) Pregnancy is NOT an undeniable consequence of unmarried sex. Perhaps you need a sex ed course!
(B) In the small percentage of situations where a teen pregnancy does result, it is an unintended consequence.
(C) The decision to have premarital sex was wrong but the consequence such as pregnancy, an STD, etc is not wrong it is the outcome of a WRONG decision.
(D) Following your logic (or lack thereof), since a WRONG pregnancy leads to a birth of a child, is that child necessarily WRONG? Should society label that child as WRONG? Maybe it's exactly your logic that leads the insensitive Liberals to promote ABORTION of a human life - because it's WRONG!

So?

Does this somehow make her skills and accomplishments go away?

I've been lurkin’ since before you came and I'm surprised at such a dopey response from you. Once again, I ask Am I incorrect? If you can't answer it, why make that dopey comment?

“So none of our elected officials should be in office if any of their children have had pre-marital sex? No. “

Are you kidding? And if she were a man, would this be an issue to you??

Just as Bristol Palin isn't the VP candidate, neither is Ann Durham running for President. (And Ann didn't have an abortion either).

Barack Obama has a lot of stuff that can be attacked. Mom shouldn't be part of it.

Kudos to Dobson...

I asked this Q on another thread... Does anyone think, objectively/honestly, that this dooms McCain's chances (this coupled with storm truncating the GOP convention, not allowing us to get our full side out to the masses)?

Let me reiterate you are completely without a shred of a hint of a clue of merit in your statements.

Life goes on, you cope with the challenges, you do not curl up in a ball and weep giant crocodile tears, as you are hear, about how tough everything is.

Sarah Palin is coping with the misfortunes in her life and getting on with it. She is to be commend for her courage and grace, not be second guessed by self righteous poseurs on the Internet.

You got here, what...eleven days earlier than him and you call him newbie?

I once called a poster who registered one day earlier (four years previously) than me "newbie". There is no point spread in Poster League

Everything you posted was over the top, out of line and wrong. In 1952 Nancy Davis wasn't 17 years old and Ronald Reagan wasn't the GOP nominee for VPOTUS. Your remarks are fictitious.

Your attempt to link Sarah Palin's daughters pregnancy with the situation involving what Ronald and Nancy Reagan went through, is pathetic. IMO, there is no linkage, whatsoever. One thing is true. Both situations contained matters related to poor judgment by all parties concerned.

>>>>>I am beginning to think that this is less about Bristol's unfortunate pregnancy and more about a bunch of disaffected Ronpaulians, Romneyites, and Obamanics hurting the McCain campaign.

I'm beginning to think you're making ALL this up as you go along.

Again, I will be voting for McCain in November.

Who cares? Unlike the gutter slime on the Political Left, we have never used the family to attack the candidate. When people on our side have tired it, they have been savagely condemned for it. Contrast that with the Mentally Ill Leftists who think this sort of attack is the height of clever politics

The whole “we-need-sex-education-in-schools” thing is a straw man.

The real agenda here is to expand the unions by forcing additional non-essential curriculum on all of the students in America. This would increase teachers’ union members, increase the school budgets, etc. No different than the “we-need-smaller-classrooms” argument. It’s all about money and expanding the teachers’ unions.

It’s isn’t about sex, but then again, the Left can’t really gin people up by demanding, say, mandatory pottery classes or rug weaving.

Once again, n00b, I tell you: Glass houses.

Reserving the right to revise and extend my remarks, I will add that he has been here 11 months longer than you, so when you call him a newbie, you look like a jackass.

Chaplain, you were certainly correct about what this thread will demonstrate, and I have to say I am very disappointed with those who do not recognize the beautiful pro-life story here.

FWIW, it would from me. Illegitimacy is illegitimacy, ...

I'll have to hand it to you. You have a huge set of clanging brass ones to take the "I was a lucky slut so now I can afford to point fingers" position.

(And yes, in this instance I am qualified to judge. I successfully managed to avoid pregnancy for the whole of my slutty years. Not getting pregnant is easy.) Xenalyte

It takes an even bigger pair to suggest that birth control, of any kind, is 100% effective.

“The odds are against them, Becky. No education, no job skills, no life commitment, and a baby on the way.”

This is not a conservative website. It is an anti-abortion website. Everything else is OK. I wonder if these people forgive abortionists?
