This means that Gov Palin really is the mom of her newborn.

I wasn’t old enough to vote for Reagan. My first vote was cast in 1992.

And you’re not a pol. Do you really expect pols to share your priorities? Personally, I would be appalled if pols shared my priorities.
I want my elected officials obsessed with their jobs.

I'm sorry to be so blunt...but screw the family at this point...this is sad for Republicans. You are sorry for saying that.

I have not seen support for teen pregnancy. What I have seen is support for a mother who’s teen daughter is pregnant and how her family is handling it.

I think I would have the same response as I do with Palin.
If the McCain camp knew the information beforehand, then why not choose another candidate that does not have this attached to them.
There are other candidates.
I guess unless someone is so much better than all the other republicans, then I would excuse this. However, that is not the case.

....I suggest you take a drive across the US sometime. Like the bottom of the sea, it's empty because nobody wants to live there, most of all me.

So none of our elected officials should be in office if any of their children have had pre-marital sex? No. When you have a 5 month old child with special needs, and a pregnant teen age daughter, a Vice presidential campaign may not be the best idea. Again, let me reiterate that I respect and admire Governor Palin for keeping her baby, and for the support she is giving her daughter. I just don't think this is the right time in a life to run for most powerful person in the world, in waiting.

How can Freepers be OK with teen pregnancy and not have any concerns about the parents. I'm not "OK" with it, but the true test of character is how one deals with adverse situations.
My parents are about as conservative as the Palins. I'm young enough to remember when I was 17. I didn't always listen to mom and dad. Should I have? Yes, but I knew everything then.
At that age, all parents can do is advise their kids and teach them the right way to do things and hope they follow their advice.

You are willfully dishonest.
Rush never made that statement in regards to the Palin nomination.
Perhaps you need a time-out?

I was speaking of Mr. and Mrs. Palin sharing childrearing duties while she served as Veep or POTUS.

She'll expend valuable time talking about this and NOT about real issues. You don't see that as a problem? You think there's lots of time before the election?I would have never chosen this for the Palin's HOWEVER, this does present itself as an opportunity to differentiate the Republican ticket from the Obama/whatshisname ticket.
Obama aid he would chose abortion as a solution for this situation for his daughters.
I would have never chosen this for the Palin's, but all in all I think this will turn out to be a net benefit to the McCain/Palin ticket.

Just my 2 cents..........I don’t like McCain and I won’t vote for him........but I might vote for Palin.
If a teenage pregnancy is the worst thing she’s got in her family then her family is a whole lot better than mine.....
