My first thought is that this sort of scrutiny has to be really hard on the 16-year-old girl in question. And my second thought was that IF this turns out to be true, I'll find it a really scary example - perhaps the most scary example of anything I've seen in a long time - of a politician who would do anything to get elected.

And if this IS true, Sarah Palin has opened her daughter up to a rough ride by exposing her family to the national press. The mainstream media only recently found itself badly burned when tabloids and bloggers completely scooped them on a salacious rumor (John Edwards' affair) that turned out to be 100% true. You can bet the press won't let this happen again, and I guarantee you that there are reporters in Alaska right this minute, poring over school, birth, and travel records, as well as looking at every photo of this family that they can get their hands on.

IF the dinosaur media is right, the mere fact she is a conservative should doom her.
The McLaughlin Group has it officially stating that the reporters were LAUGHING OUT LOUD about a “real conservative” being tapped for the VP.
Her 2nd amendment, pro-life, pro-family positions should doom her.
The only dark spot so far is if she would come out and be fore homosexual based marriage.
However DOMA is written into the state constitution and state law. Unless that was done with a veto override, Palin is in good shape as long as she does not support any alternative “domestic partner” BS.

There were several of us PolarTRECers waiting in the Fairbanks, AK airport to catch our planes home. We were chatting about all we had learned when Kristen Timm, ARCUS administrator said “ Look, there is the Hottest Governor in the United States” as she has been publicly deemed by media and fans. Of course I had to check out the “Hottest Governor in the US” and quickly turned to see her pregnant (she has since had her baby) with bags and daughter in tote. Then it struck me as odd. Why is the Governor of Alaska in the airport and preparing to get onto my commercial flight?
I disagree, it's not 'gave over' there just was never a game to start with.
I would also remind these scum suckers that a 16 year old is much less able to deal with viscious rumors than adults,....they might take a dose of compassion before they vomit their poison, and like a dog, eat their own vomit. Low-rent, prick adoring, leftist, procommunist bastards.
I thought children were 'off limits". Palin needs to serve notice on them, right out of the chute, to keep their filthy hands off of her daughter.
