Be a man, not a legislator here - in November there will be a choice of TWO tickets for President:

McCain/Palin OR Obama/Biden

You have to choose, not just vote “present” or be a no show. Which of those two tickets are more aligned with your philosophy or is more likely to be able to be persuaded to consider your concerns. I know neither ticket agrees with you (or me) totally, or at all. Those are the two choices. Like it or not, there is no other.

Each of us “have to be a man” about this and make a decision (even if you are a woman).

Sorry, but your definition of being a man and mine are quite different.

As a Christian Man I cannot and will not support anyone who supports the killing of innocents in any manner whatsoever, hence I cannot support McCain because of his support of Embryonic Stem Cell Research.

As a Christian Man I cannot support someone who does not believe in "Law and Order" hence I cannot support McCain with his agenda of Amnesty for Illegal Aliens who have committed both Misdeamenors (Illegally crossing the border) and Felonies (ID Fraud).

Finally, as a man, I cannot support someone who willfully will destroy the economy of the US by implementing a Carbon Cap-and-Trade system based on a scam of a theory call Global Warming. McCain has at his disposal, and his staff's disposal, all the information we have here at FreeRepublic and more. He know's it is fake or he is woefully unprepared to be POTUS. For this reason as well, I as a man cannot support McCain.

Being a Man does not mean you run from your principles because everyone else is willing to be herded over a cliff in the name of winning without principle.

Being a Man means standing for your principles.

If your principles are not important enough to stand up for, they are really not principles but more like suggestions and quite worthless.

Finally, all I ask, as a conservative, Christian man, is that McCain do the moral and principle right thing on these 3 issues. It is a short list and it is the right thing for him to do.

If he does, I will enthusiastically vote for him, donate my time and money to his campaign, and tirelessly fight for him in every manner possible.

As a fellow conservative, I believe you can agree with me that what I ask is both correct and doable and definitely the right thing to do.

I was sort of speed-reading most of it until I got to the time when McCain introduced her on Friday and Sarah spoke. Some --just a couple-- of those posts could have been written by... moi.

I could not agree with you more. That’s one reason I have so much faith and hope in her.

People who have seen me post over time know I rarely jump on a band wagon. This time it’s different for me. I have a lot of faith and respect for Sarah Palin, as well as her family and capabilities.

Someday, IF Sarah Palin goes after DC corruption the same way she nailed Republicans in Alaska, she will be a heroin to every grass roots Republican and Democrat in America.

MSNBC just had a Loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnng interview with Nagin.

Why isn’t anyone asking why does Nagin have so much free time?

Nagin is bashing Katrina response again. BUT WHY, does he have time to schmooze with the media?

Answer: because the state is taking over to PREVENT his lack of leadership.

you said.... “Blanco. Remember back to then and how badly the Rats wanted to impeach Bush with the flimsiest BS reasons. Now consider how badly he wanted to intervene and save lives in NO but he was constitutionally prevented from doing so without the governor’s request.

Imagine if he had overstepped his authority. They would have had a genuine reason for impeachment, and IMO that’s what they were trying to do. Failing that, they could unjustifiably blame him for Rat inaction.”

Exactly!!!!!!!

and they have not given up - they are after President Bush, as they were President Reagan/11

I agree.

I did not donate to McCain until yesterday.

McCain did well at that forum versus Obama, whatever it was called.
McCain was able to run ads at the precise time needed to have the most impact against Obama.
McCain’s ads against Obama have been times well and hurt Obama and Biden without being nasty.
McCain was able to stop leaks before naming his VP choice.
McCain made a great choice in choosing Sarah Palin for VP.
McCain has out-classed his opposition in every instance, so far.

I have to admit, I wanted Fred to win the primary, and wasn't all too thrilled about McCain due to some of his positions.
I was planning to vote for McCain anyway, but would not have sent him the money I sent him yesterday, but once he picked Palin, I had to do more than just vote. I have tremendous respect for John McCain, he is a true American hero, no matter policies he espouses that I disagree with.. He served his country, and continues to serve. His choice of Palin was a masterstroke, and contrary to the talking heads who are saying it dampens his questioning Obama’s experience, it highlights his lack of experience and accomplishment. Obama is truly an empty suit, I mean the guy has 0, zero accomplishments in his political past beyond being able to give a good speech. He appears to have used all of his positions as stepping stones to the next level, without doing the work he was elected to do. He represents himself and his desire for power & desire to hear his own voice bouncing back from his cheering crowds(watched a few minutes of CNN’s om-age to Obama, he actually said that!).
The republican ticket is stacked with two people who serve their country. The democrat ticket have two people who have always served their own interests. The republican ticket is We, we, we/USA, USA, USA. The democrat ticket is I, I, I, Obama, Obama, Obama.
Country First, go McCain/Palin!

I don’t have to ping you or anybody else who is an obvious plant.

How am I a plant? Because I oppose McCain?

You don't have to ping me, per se, but it is considered good etiquette on FR.

You are glad we have won aren’t you??

Yes, but if we've won, then it's time to get out.

Pray for W Mav/Plant and Our Troops

Typo, eh?

Or maybe a Freudian slip to indicate that McCain is the Democrats' inside man, with regards to the GOP?

I was dismayed about the Living Wage bs McCain said this morning.

Do you realize you are the first one (other than me) to actually acknowledge that? Thank you.

Still, for all this, I will vote McCain/Palin in November. That is my perogative but I do understand those who cannot. I think they’re wrong, but I do see the point they make.

Pragmatic, respectful, comment.

But after the election, should McCain/Palin win, I will fight any and all socialistic policies coming from a McCain White House with as much vigor as I would an Obama policy. I wish it wasn’t this way. Us patriots (and I mean ALL of us here on this thread today) never get any rest.

And this is what we all need to acknowledge, IMO. Staying silent will do no good. If I saw some indication that the next four years included some organization(R) against liberal(R) policies, I might feel better about a John McCain presidency. Instead, when I see the GOP-silencing police, I fear we will see Schwarzeneggariansm taken nationwide (liberal leader joins with Dems to advance liberal agenda). A liberal(R) can be more dangerous than a liberal(D) if they face no opposition.

You say, “There are more than two options on my state’s ballot.”

You quote George Allen on you web page, so you have at least a few smarts. Given that, I suspect you won’t vote for Cynthia McKinney or Ralph Nader. I don’t think Ron Paul has individually made it on any state’s ballots. But, perhaps there may be someone else on another ticket on your state’s ballot of which I’m not aware. Though, even given you’ve mentioned that Sen McCain is not conservative enough, perhaps you’ve bought into the Messiah’s Kool-Aid.

I would hate to think that as a FReeper (unless you’re a troll), that you’re one of those that are trying to register in VA rather than vote in your home state - -certainly you wouldn’t do that - - would you? If so, to quote a great senator, I say Macaca.
