Given that the ONLY alternative to McCain/Palin is Obama/Biden, what makes you think Obama’s response to FRE, FNM, and GM going be better?

It's not.

We're getting Big Government in November with either choice.

The only difference is that with McCain/Palin, conservatives will be tagged as being in favor of bailouts.

My deal is that I refuse to support either one.

Oh, and by the way, McCain/Palin is not the only alternative. It may be the only "realistic" alternative, but it is not the only logical alternative. There are more than two options on my state's ballot.

He spoke non-stop for an hour or more (don’t know because Fox cut him off then CNN about ten minutes later) about evacuation issues, very, very detailed briefing. He’s in charge and its a big difference from Blanco and Nagin.

Did I call it, or did I call it!

I've just listened to a program titled "To the Contrary" on PBS. The Lefty Ladies on the discussion panel were not at all happy campers concerning the Palin pick. There were no virulent attacks on Palin; however, there were numerous impassioned defenses of Obama/Biden. All of this in the context what is best for Dim lady voters, especially those who supported Hillary...LOL!

But this timely Palin maneuver even has me contemplating a donation to the McCain/Palin campaign.

Donate today; the window closes at midnight.

LOL... the media trying NOT to mention why things are better organized doesn’t even matter! Everyone following it can’t help but notice that themselves!

And guess what: the main character who has changed in this act is Jindal! And, this time even the fool Nagin is trying to do the right thing, unlike his previous pathetic performance.

A couple years ago we complained the Guard wasn’t sent immediately BY THE GOVERNOR and that martial law wasn’t declared immediately... I would bet that we don’t have that complaint this week!

Says the college student who has never had nor would he ever survive the first bamboo shoot slid under his hostile trollesk fingernail...... You thank them for their service and then insult the men who endured pain beyond measure for your freedom to insult them? In reviewing your posts, I think you come on this board with a real ax to grind every single time. Every time, all hostile and rooster-posturing pounding your chest about how conservative you are with lots of nasty comments but no concrete solutions. To state that any vote McCain made is the senate eclipses his performance as a prisoner of war in Vietnam is to vomit liberalism. EXACTLY what Oboobie would say about McCain. Verbatim.

Absolutely: it was up TO THE GOVERNOR to respond to these things, and Blanco and Nagin REFUSED to do so during Katrina.

As bad as this situation is, I am beginning to see a super OPPORTUNITY here for McCain and the Republicans to draw SHARP distinctions with the Dems -— aided and abetted by their stoopid olympian convention theme and celebration on Thursday.

Making Lemonade from Lemons...

Plus, the DBM want the Palin story to become “yesterday's news” ASAP and the McCain campaign is too smart to help them do so.

McCain has hamstrung the hypocrats with his selection, disarming them with experience, gender, age, DC insider, etc.

I like Palin being with McCain and talking with Barbour in MS. She has experience on disaster preparation and no doubt will further impress McCain with her discussion, observations and questions of Barbour on his state's preparation. IMO, it will be more of a learning experience for McCain than for Palin.

"Earlier, Brit Hume said Sarah Palin will be great if she does not stumble. He is right. The question is whether or not she will make that fall. The more I read about her the more I’m inclined to believe she is more than capable of holding her own and not screwing up."

---<>---<>---<>---<>---<>---

I came to that conclusion on Friday morning after researching immediately upon the first leaks.

MadIvan came to that conclusion 'way back in FEBRUARY!!! His analysis matches any professional analysis I've ever seen, and it was written in February!
Governor Sarah Palin for Vice President

Don’t know if you’re wasting your time with these two or not, brothers. Must have fifty posts between them just on this thread, but have to struggle to drag a cogent point (besides BDS mod II, aka McCain Derangement Syndrome) out of the mess.

Some folks lose all capacity to hear anything but the magical noise of their jaws banging together. Making any sense at all is strictly optional.

"Isn't it interesting that when Geraldine Ferraro said that Obama wouldn't be where he was if he weren't Black she got pilloried and thrown off the campaign bus. And when Rush said that the media were building up Donovan McNabb because they were so happy to have a Black quarterback, Rush got fired. But now all we hear 24/7 is that Palin is "affirmative action," "picked because she is a woman," etc. etc. And the Democrats and media people just accept that and support it."

Great points!!!
