Will Obama the Great try to build another temple to address the nation or declare this is a racist ploy against his campaign.

Launching a political career as a small-town mayor creates one of the most interesting resume items a candidate for higher office can have. A small town mayor doesn’t just blabber in the legislature about theoretical soutions to vaguely defined problems but has to actually SOLVE REAL PROBLEMS.

And more than that, they operate in an environment of complete accountability and transparency. Their constitutents know where they live, where their children go to school, their home phone number, etc. It’s far easier for a legislator to hide himself away in a body of 100 other speechifiers than it is for a small-town mayor to duck the public.

Good points and something that should be hit and hit hard in response to questions on her qualifications.

LATE EDITION (CNN) : Tom Daschle, D-S.D.

(on government being ready for storm) “I’m not confident”[how many years where you there, Tommy?]

“choice is mystifying”

“absolutely no experience”

“he buckled to extreme right wing”

“to patronizing”

“how much is McCain going to listen to the right wing”

“100 % of the time”[good]

“Republicans in trouble in the west”

[Good, looks like Dashle is troubled too]

Maria did more for Sarah’s reputation than ANY pundit could imagine. Tom Brokejaw looked like was about to piss himself. Even Greggy had good things to say about her.

And the sign in her parent’s house had me rolling.

“VEGETARIAN” Indian word far bad hunter.

Boehner on Democrats: “find this conversation appalling...” “for them to belittle this woman”

Isn't it interesting that when Geraldine Ferraro said that Obama wouldn't be where he was if he weren't Black she got pilloried and thrown off the campaign bus. And when Rush said that the media were building up Donovan McNabb because they were so happy to have a Black quarterback, Rush got fired. But now all we hear 24/7 is that Palin is "affirmative action," "picked because she is a woman," etc. etc. And the Democrats and media people just accept that and support it.

How was it at the DNC convention last week? Did you get to touch the Messiahs sleeve?

Aha! More lies. How quaint.

Your dour energy is interfering with our POSITIVE Energy.

Well, excuse me for posting a quote from McCain on today's talk show (subject of thread).

I didn't realize this was a GOP orgy where freepers aren't allowed to participate unless they ignore reality.

Carry on.

1. Yes, they need to expand conversation to Palin’s experience with both Canada and Russia.

2. Given all the attention with Gustav, GOP operatives should point out that it is the GOVERNORS of these States that are accountable for decisions and public safety. Palin has this experience, Obama NONE.

3. tell the MSM to go pound sand. I am convinced that a frontal assault is warranted; accuse the media of gender bias.

>>As we learn more about her, we will learn that she isn’t in perfect lockstep with everything we believe.

Of course, and that’s OK. It is the concession we must make to win the majority of electoral votes.

uddenly appearing among the Google search results for “sarah palin gay,” a web site titled: Sarah Palin Supports Gay Rights.

Sarah Palin (GOV-Alaska-Republican), supports gay rights, says Anchorage Daily News.

Quote “Gov. Sarah Palin vetoed a bill Thursday that sought to block the state from giving public employee benefits such as health insurance to same-sex couples.”

Quote “”It is the Governor’s intention to work with the legislature and to give the people of Alaska an opportunity to express their wishes and intentions whether these benefits should continue,” the statement from Palin’s administration said.”

Coghill said he’s interested in a new plan that would allow state employees to designate one person — maybe a same-sex partner, but also possibly a family member or roommate — who would be eligible for state-paid benefits. But the employee would have to pay to add that person to his or her benefits.”

Sarah Palin’s veto gave gays the same rights as married couples in Alaska.

A vote for McCain/Palin is a vote for gay marriage.

Interesting. There’s nothing else on the page. This sure looks like the work of the dastardly right-wing anti-gay attack machine, doesn’t it?

But look who’s really behind this.

In the Linux console, if you enter the following commands, you can learn the secrets of a political dirty trick. First, look up the host of ‘sarahpalingayrights.com’ to get the site’s IP address.

host sarahpalingayrights.com
sarahpalingayrights.com has address 74.208.74.232

Then use the same command to look up the domain name pointer of that IP address.

host 74.208.74.232
232.74.208.74.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer obamadefense.com

Well, well. “Obamadefense.com,” eh?

And what happens if you enter obamadefense.com on your browser’s address line?

Why, you’re redirected to none other than FightTheSmears.com, the official Barack Obama site that’s supposed to be defending him against smears.

Looks like they may have a second purpose: to generate a few smears of their own.
