“Media Bypass” can become a permanent phrase! It really points out the ‘omission’ of news. I will start using it regularly.
“Um, wheres Gov. Palin”
C’mon...you know the MSM isn’t going to invite her on until they have what they think is a “scandal” to make her look bad.
Agreed!
One of the delegate’s wife is evacuating with their kids and her mother by car. F&F had her on the phone.
What I find so interesting is how Ray Nagin et al are suddenly acting like they SHOULD have during Katrina.
Did you all hear that Nagin told New Orleans residents that if they don’t get out they better have an axe. Cause THEIR ROOF will be their only way out!
The city’s not going to rescue anyone, it’s going to assume any citizens roaming the streets are criminals, it’s not going to risk rescuer lives to save those who don’t heed the warning.
There are buses (NOT under water) and plenty of transportation to pick up people with no means. Phone numbers for help are widely available. They’ve got lots of time and the citizens need to evacuate.
Plus there’s Bobby Jindal who is missing the opportunity of a lifetime to speak at the Republican convention but he’s staying firm. As he should and we’d expect nothing less. Still, I’m not convinced that Biden would miss HIS chance to speak should a hurricane be bearing down on Delaware. Maybe he would but from a Republican we expect nothing less.
After the dust clears from Gustav I predict the lies about Katrina being a federal disaster will be laid to rest.
The actions of the powers-that-be for Hurrican Gustav will lay lie in the very obvious manner in the difference in how the two hurricanes were handled LOCALLY.
Brit when asked if it was a smart pick or a risky pick, and he said both. He stated that the GOP base was absolutely fired up by the pick. She appeals to gun-rights voters, pro-lifers, economic conservatives and the reform minded. And that McCain will need a solid ground game that exceeds Bush/Rove’s game in 2004, and he didn’t have the foot soldiers until this pick. The risk is that Palin will flame out.
Welcome to Denver! You’re a week late. ROFLOL

Juan Williams, “This woman has no experience. Zero.”
Gotcha,it is one that should be easily proven one way or the other. I’m just repeating,in messenger style, what I heard on a talk radio show. It’s not my comment.
OMG - Juan just said he doesn’t want to hear conservatives complain about affirmative action again. And said that Palin had no experience at all - even though Chris Wallace led in with the fact that Obama doesn’t mave much experience either. And then just continued to sidestep the comparison.
Ha!
When you see clowns like this reelected, it really makes you wonder....
People conflate Obama with the muslim Congressman from Michigan who was sworn in on a Koran a few yers ago in his private (photo-op) ceremony.
McCain does not have to challenge Obama/Soetoro’s patriotism, we will do it for him.
That's because they believe the only real experience is to be had in DC. What the rest of us do out in the part of America that doesn't matter, the small towns and all that, is not important. But that is one of the things Americans are going to like about this. We are sick to death of DC as you can see from the congressional approval ratings. We don't want more of that, and that is just what Biden gives us.
As always, the panel misses the key point when it comes to bread-and-butter flyover country issues (like they did with the illegal immigration debate). Palin will appeal to Reagan Dems, no matter what their gender. And she is a tremendous appeal to those who are sick of corruption but don't know how to go about fighting. Sarah has shown how it's done. Smoke that, Obama.
On ABC, Lindsey Graham reverses the questions on Palin’s experience and brings up Obama’s lack of experience.
John Kerry says Palin will be another Cheney as V.P.
On the panel, Sam Donaldson is ready to punch out Cokie Roberts for talking positively about Palin.
I think we are willing and able to take that risk and if it's up to us her flame will only burn brighter.
Interesting - the first part of the panel was about Palin, the second part is the DNC convention. Yep, Kristol just pointed that Palin sucked the oxygen away from Obama’s speech.
