Aaah ... perfection for just you.

Let's not confuse perfection with having standards.

I don’t have to do that nor will I take the time. My response was for you to not go away because all sides need to be heard.

Just accept my comment for what it is and don’t read something else into it.

as long as the morning thread is still alive...

the REal Clear poll average is Obama +3.3 8/18-8/30

It is just a question of how much we in the internet can keep up the attack on the drive by media and get the message out over the top of the media blockade.

(email lists, TALKING to people, etc.) Gustav may just trun out to be a blessing because the media is force to report on weather rather than politics which means the momentum was left with the McCAin ticket sans the obama hits.

Boy, that’s a mouth full. The polls are way off and it appears the pollsters were caught unprepared, which also reflects on their accuracy and saleability. I love it. How cool would it be to have these guy tuck their heads in disgrace?

“My impression is that if Senator Biden tries an early sucker punch, he will bring back a bloody stump. But what do I know?”

Gail Collins wrote an op-ed article in the NYT, dated Aug 30th.2008, titled:”McCain’s Baked Alaska”

Link: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/30/opinion/30collins-.html?ref=opinion

As usual, coming from the NYT, it is pretty much a hit piece. She mentions that Palin is “reminicent of a Dan Quayle selection”, and then in the FINAL paragraph writes:

“If she’s only on the ticket to try to get disaffected Clinton supporters to cross over, it’s a bad choice. Joe Biden may already be practicing his drop-dead line for the vice-presidential debate: “I know Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is a friend of mine, and governor, you’re no Hillary Clinton.” .

End of Article.

Well, on the “Hillary is 44” blog (that I have referenced twice earlier in the thread), they mentioned Gail’s column with the last paragraph verbage about Biden (plagerizing as is his usual M.O.) pulling this line against Palin.

Well, on the website, the Hillary supporters came up with some comebacks, and IMHO, should be sent to the McCain-Palin camp to work on ASAP, because I believe Biden will think it’s a very smart-a$$ line he thinks he can slam Palin with, when the opening arises, and get the same results as when it was used on Dan Quale in the infamous 1988 VP Debate.

Here are a couple of the comebacks they sugested tha Palin use:

Biden: “I know Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is a friend of mine, and governor, you’re no Hillary Clinton.”

to which Sarah could reply:

Palin: “If you wanted Hillary, you should have nominated her.”

That one was...OK.

I like this one best!!...quote from the website:

“Best retort from Palin for any Dem who states to her that she’s no Hillary…is for her to say (for instance to Biden or any other surrogate) “:

“With all due respect, sir (madam)..you are no Hillary Clinton either.”

...with this last line added:

“Back atcha bud!!”

End quote.

Not only would that last comeback line be IMHO, THE BEST COMEBACK, it would slam “Plugs” as being the “second best pick because Obama picked him over the “much-more-qualified-and should-have-been-top-of-the-2008-dem-ticket” Hillary Clinton, but it also again shows and gives MAJOR respect to Hillary like she did in her Ohio speech.

...and what do you think that line would do to any of the still steadfast Hillary supporters watching Sarah on NATIONAL TV (with ALL of them watching with the hope that Biden “goofs-up” in some way durring the debate), and THAT COMEBACK LINE ends up DESTROYING “Plugs”, Obama, the DNC AND the Obama MSM enablers who dissed her so badly, with THAT ONE QUICK AND WELL DELIVERED REPLY if Biden tries it??

That line, delivered by Sarah on NATIONAL TV, would AGAIN be reminding Hillary’s very hard working 2008 supporters, the Obamabots, all dem voters, AND big smart-mouthed Biden that HE was NOT the best choice the dems could have put in the VP slot, let alone the POTUS position, where Hillary could have possibly been the most qualified of ALL the dem 2008 POTUS or VPOTUS candidates, and the most likely pick to help the dems in either position to attempt a dem 2008 election victory.

Again, IMHO, if Sarah prepares for this very possible line from Biden for their VP debate, and can comeback at him with the second reply in a “Sarah the Barracuda” style delivery to the “good ol’boy”, aka: “Plugs The Babysitter”.......

...well let’s just say I’ll be awaiting that first “Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread” after the VP debate SO MUCH, that I’ll write Santa in early October, and tell him to skip my house because I’ve already received what I wanted for Christmas 2008.

You thought you were late—it's so hard to keep up when non-cyber life keeps popping in.

I agree with you that Obama knows he or his direct staff cannot afford to touch this kind of garbage with a stick. I suspect the little thugs of the left thought they could stick it to the new girl and she'd be a soft target and melt rather than expose her family to lefty thug slime talk.

Boy are they STUPID. She's not weak, she's not afraid, she's not manipulable. They are not up to the job and just end up making their disgusting side look even more like a wriggling pile of maggots. WE WIN. Thanks, thugs.

I agree, given The Enquirer’s record of being more accurate than NYT or Wapo, that there's a real good chance there's something to that story of possible murder in Trinity, but we have to be careful not to look like the leftie maggots in stirring it up. We probably need to stay away from it ourselves.

OTOH if The Enquirer goes after it, that's totally up to them.

Shhhhh....

Democrats! Please don’t pick on our little Sarah. She is frail and vulnerable and you don’t know what might happen! Be gentle, caring and try to understand her without judgment. Just as you would do with other miscreants.

Ahh I see...the other trolls can’t handle dealing with an adult so they call in yet another bully.

 typical.

Check the posts here SCP. I DO address the issues.

And I deal with trolls in the exact manner in which they deserve to be treated.

Which category are you in?

Just so you know, I have not had anything to drink... yet.

Just kidding. We have spent an enjoyable day visiting and watching the Palin miracle. Just watching the MSM implode has been wonderful.

By the way, congratulations to virtually everyone today. The posts have been great, for the most part, and interesting to read others opinions and reasoning.

We're getting Big Government in November with either choice. The only difference is that with McCain/Palin, conservatives will be tagged as being in favor of bailouts.

There are going to be quite a few things I'm not going to like and bailouts are one of them. At one time I said I was all done voting for the guy who wasn't quite as bad.

One of the reasons I was unwilling to vote for McCain was because I thought he was almost certain to pick a horrible RINO which would further entrench the wrong faction in charge of the party. IOW as good as kill off the party.

I was weakening down anyway because the more I see of Obama, the more I believe he'd kill off the country.

With Sarah Palin I believe we have a conservative as the heir to the R leadership. I don't count on anybody to be 100% with me (who is?), but she's darn good and looking better the more I find out about her.

I have one major worry and that's illegal amnesty. I believe that would destroy the country, but we are going to have to beat that back like we did a year ago. We don't know her position on it, but she's very intelligent and not locked into an old position and can probably be rationally persuaded if she's on the wrong side. I know Hillary or Obama could NOT.

Anyway, I'm excited about HER and I have enjoyed watching McCain defend her. There is now a future good path for our country which there wasn't before and that's worth a lot IMO.

No you said “yes”, why don’t we get out of Iraq. What does leaving and victory have to do with each other. Have we lost in Germany and Korea? Wouldn’t it be smarter to have a presence in that area? Why is leaving your defination of victory?? Where else is that the definition of victory??

Let us know how glad you are that we went into Iraq and took out that dictator to give freedom to 25 million people. Come on Mr Conservative, let us know what you think of Iraq.

How did you like his answers at Saddleback where Black Oblack made a complete fool of himself? What do you think of abortion? When does life begin and is abortion murder? What does abortion do to the woman who has an abortion? Are you glad Palin kept her Downs baby? Come on mr conservative, lets talk issues. Do you like Clarence Thomas?

Your hatred of the military comes through with your complete disrespect of McCain’s service. When you spend 5 years tortured nearly to death and offered freedom only to deny it, then you can disregard his service. Until then you can thank God every day he and people like him gave you your right to hate the military. They may think your not a plant, but your attitude says just the opposite. You can’t fake patriotism mr “Conservative”.

Pray for W Mav/Palin and Our Troops
