Here in Tallahassee, NBC did not carry it whatsoever. I guess an old episode of the Rachel Ray show was much more important.

Folks, we just won the election.

For this choice, I will get a McCain bumpersticker.

What an absolutely clear difference. This campaign is positive towards America and inspiring. It makes the Messiah-like campaign of Obama seem very bitter, negative, and small. "Do you want goodies?? We've got 'em." That is the Democrat message. Obama is NO CHANGE from anything I have ever seen from that party. I don't care to notice whether or not the candidates have curly hair or tan skin. I listen to the message.

The message today was "We believe in America and we will fight worldwide Islamic terror with our own flesh and blood because we don't want America to end. We don't want our allies to end. We love our country!"

Having just watched her for the first time, I must say she sure can speak well. I was wondering if she was using a teleprompter, because if she was, she sure does it a heck of a lot better than McCain, and if she was not using one, then I am even more impressed. And while she is pretty, her husband is a cutie too. Good looking family. McCain looked like the cat that swallowed the canary. He looked so pleased with himself and his choice. The MSM is totally confused, which always makes me happy. The Dems are in disarray over this choice. Now its time to see how this will go over with the American citizenry. She sure will spice up the debate. I’d love to be a fly on the wall over in the Obama camp right now. They are probably in a total tizzy.

Amen!! This was such a great pick in so many ways!!

Listening to Rush on WLS (Chicago) website and their top of the hour news was several stories about palin and then, after weather, they said that Obama and Biden are campaigning in Pennsylvania. that's it. FROM A STATION IN CHICAGO. Brilliant move by McCain as Obama's speech is already off the front pages.

Oh, Miss Didi, I can’t quit crying. She is so perfect. Thank you so much for pointing us in the direction of the Drew blog last night. Oh, wow! I have to quit crying. I am so proud. Can’t go to DU. I fly into a rage whenever I hear any criticism of her. Let others with stronger stomachs venture over there.

I'm back from Dumbounderground and now I know what Mike Roe goes through. It's going to take a long time to clean off the stench.

They're either in total denial:

or they're tearing each other apart with the vicious ones calling her a broodmare for having five kids or stupid for having a child in her forties which ensured the child would have Down's, and the more reasonable ones ripping into the vicious ones. Great fun.

The decontamination ordeal is worth it, though I wouldn't want to visit again anytime soon.

I do not believe Palin will spew anything she doesn’t want to!

Check out her reputation!

Questions for Barry to ask her—Governor is hunting scary? Do you cut your finger on the hook when you fish?

ROFL!!! This is one of the things I love about her!

Her life story is so AWESOME!! She is DEFINITELY NOT an elitist!

Just watched the rally, as far as public speaking this lady is every bit the orator that Obama claims to be, and she was
speaking from notes NOT a teleprompter.

Very sharp woman, an asset to the ticket, another deflection shot by McCain who is inside the Obama learning curve every time.

No more Pantsuits!

Shatter that glass ceiling! Go girl! I am so excited. I want a lawn sign.

I want a lawn sign, too, and I don't have a lawn!

The amount of invective already flying from Democrat corners is an excellent sign. Democratic Underground is in need of an exorcist at this point.

Very very pleased with the reaction at DU. They clearly don’t know how to quantify this pick, and are mostly resorting to the “she’s a weak pick because I said so!” theory of argument.

With BO already attacking her as being too small-town, one can only recall the insults he threw at rural Pennsylvanians during the primaries.

If she sparkles in the debates, McCain will win by a wide margin. I wouldn’t have said that a week ago.

McCain just changed everything and I just changed my tagline. Now I don't have to just be against Obama but I get to be for Sarah Palin. My first thought when I heard that McCain went BOLD was that now my granddaughters have a conservative accomplished woman to look towards rather than simply hearing about Hillary.

When she spoke of her eldest son being in the Army I almost wept because she is proud the way my Mom was proud when I was in the Army so long ago. When I look at her youngest I see a woman who walks the pro life talk and it renews my faith. I hear about her opposition to the Bridge to Noweher and I wanna cheer out loud, which I did actually.

She will energise conservatives and specifically youn pro life Chirstians, Jews and doubters alike like nobody has ever done before. Win or lose, I give McCain a lot of credit for choosing a young dunamic conservative as his running mate!

McCain/Palin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She didn’t lock anything up, and if you think so, you are blind. This is going to be a tight election and could go either way. And to be honest, I like McCain, but I don’t feel comfortable with someone with so little experience just a heartbeat away. I understand the reason for the pick, I just don’t think it was the right choice for the right reasons.
