Yes, she is a great role model for young women, unlike Hillary Clinton. I am not one to vote for someone because they are " a woman" or "black" or "whatever"...but as a father of two little girls, I am thrilled that there is a female, an exceptional female who is a great roll model, on the GOP ticket. My 8 year old is old enough to grasp the importance of this event.

Now she just disarmed the RATS by acknowledging Ferraro and Her Heinous, and then built on the 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling that she will break through.
I'm going to take a deep breath (and a hazmat suit) and see how the suicide watch is going at Dumbounderground.

I’m sending another donation to the campaign. We can’t let this one get away.

I'm loving the emotional, and properly so, comments of the Freeper ladies here. This is an historic moment for American women, not for political correctness, quotas, or opportunism, but for all the right reasons!

My sincere apologies for the double-post — server problems...
ABC cut her off 5 minutes before the end of her speech. I don’t know if they went back to her or not because I jumped up to change the channel. Even if they did cut back to her, they still completely disrupted the flow of her speech. JERKS!!!
Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!

I’ve heard a lot of acceptance speeches in 30 years of watching politics, but this was by far the best and most effective. Hitting the “executive experience” button with “commander of the national guard!!?” Brilliant. And the references to Ferraro and Hillary had to be good for a couple of hundred thousand votes nationally.

I have heard of Palin for a long, long time... even back to before last summer. This is the first time I’ve heard her speak.
NOW I know why people are so hot about her.
WHAT a dynamic speaker, and courageous person!

She’s solid I didn’t think she was overawed one bit by Mccain next to her or the crowd. She is tough.

A female Reagan.
Whoever’s running McCain’s strategy is pretty good.
To: mnehrling
Do not sit on your laurels.. FIGHT! Don't think the left will give up when facing this. They will pull out so much dirt and so many dirty tricks, we need to start fighting now and fight hard. Don't assume this will give us victory. It changes the momentum, but remember we are fighting against the establishment Dem machine who will do anything to win.
Agreed! But until today I had no motivation to fight for this ticket. Now I'm behind them 100% and I'm ready for the fight!
To: Petronski
LOL.
She did sound like she said John F McCain instead of John S McCain.

I had a few clues it was Sarah from people who had inside info...I went to bed at midnight but woke up at 3 a.m. and ran to the computer to see the plane scoop. And I was sooooooo worried about Joe! Rush sounds thrilled. This is a great day in America!
