Sidewalk chalk messages challenged Obama's moral positions

DENVER – Two teenagers who had been given city permission to write their messages protesting Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama's support for abortion on public sidewalks during the Democratic National Convention this week were shoved to the sidewalk, cuffed and arrested for doing just that.

"I was peacefully sidewalk chalking when I was forcefully pushed to ground by a police officer from behind," Jayne White, 17, described. "As I was being cuffed on the ground, the police officer pushed his knee into the back of my neck. I was pulled roughly off the ground and taken away. I was given no warning to stop and was completely shocked when I was arrested.'
Julia Giacopuzzi, age 15, was surprised by a police officer twisting her arms behind her back and using them to lift her off the ground to be handcuffed.

The Denver police are going to have a problem. ABC is not happy about their producer being threatened and handcuffed either.
The cops are all dressed up and no one to club and beat up. They are just trying to start a fight.
Apparently in the eyes of the Denver police department, drawing on the sidewalk with chalk is a far worse crime than publicly calling for the murder of Michelle Malkin.
Who knew that the preschool class at church with their chalk and stuffed animals and blankies were such a group of hardened criminals.
Ugly. There used to be stories like this regularly in the early days of abortion protests, but I haven’t seen anything this bad for some time. False arrests, yes, but not this brutal and not without some warning.
If Obama gets into office we will be seeing this sort of thing everywhere. Not just vicious, lying emails to his followers to go after broadcasters who allow conservatives to speak the truth on the radio, but citizens abused and arrested for any kind of criticism of the Messiah.
I hope one of the pro-life legal organization goes after these poor excuses for cops.
If the police go over to the dark side, which it appears they have been doing with regularity. What are good citizens of a free country governed by the rule of law to do?
The police are not allowed to arrest hippies and anarchists that throw feces at them. All they have left is people like these girls.
The Denver police are doing the Democrats’ bidding. The Dems complain, the police make arrests.
I hope someone has it on video so those cops can be properly disposed of.

So what are you saying? All police are thugs. Over reacting in the other direction is just as bad. If a cop over steps his bounds he should be held accountable that’s no excuse to label all cops bad.
