SECRET SERVICE DUE FOR KEITH? (Olbermann fears of hitmen)
New York Post ^ | August 29, 2008 | Page 6

Keith Olbermann is threatening to quit unless his bosses beef up his security, sources say.

Olbermann - upset to be anchoring at the Democratic National Convention from an outdoor set near Denver's train station - "announced that his bosses [had] better find a more secure location for him to broadcast from at the Republican National Convention [in St. Paul, Minn.] or he's not going," one insider said. "He thinks someone will assassinate him." MSNBC had no comment.

Even before he left New York, the biggest mouth at MSNBC was worried about his safety. When a car was late to take him to the airport, Olbermann threatened via e-mail to stay home, another insider told Page Six. The blowhard whined to producers, "I could have been attacked on the street."

I think he is more afraid Chris Matthews would frag him, but has to blame it on outsiders.

Simple. Hold nose (although he is winning style points) and vote McCain. Beat Obama. Watch Kieth Olbermann’s head explode in anger.

Win.

Assassinating him would be a waste of a perfectly good bullet.

Why would any Republican want to kill this dumb@ss.

Unlike the rest of the leftists in the MSM, Olbermann’s on another planet when it comes to objectivity that it makes the rest of the idiot libs in his profession look bad.

You might as well dress up Olbermann in a cheerleader’s outfit some lipstick and some pom-poms. He’d probably sleep with the star quarterback, the Chosen One, too if he had a chance.

What a narcissistic a$$wipe.

Watch out for the Cheese Curds, Keith. And the Lutefisk. Too much at once could cause a reaction that would make you uncomfortable. If this happens, have Dan Abrams hold and rock you in his lap until the bad feelings go away.

I’ve said it before, but I think there is genuinely something wrong with Keith Olbermann.

The worst thing one can do to Olbermann is to ignore him.

Radio and online mags have been reporting about the turmoil at MSNBC this week, and this story makes me think this whole thing is heading for a blowup. If I recall Olberman's past correctly--and I probably don't--he is due for a crackup, involving alcohol, perhaps.

The man is a talented broadcaster BUT I rush to add, he never, ever has any opposing viewpoints, which means he's a mere orator. He couldn't deal with daily encounters with people who don't think he's an intellectual, which he clearly is not because he refuses to deal with opposing viewpoints. He's a frightened little man who needs people to say "You're great!" constantly. He exists in an echo chamber, and MSNBC is letting him run the show because he gets ratings for them.

But he is clearly becoming unglued, and Scarborough, Matthews and the rest are taking his lead and thinking they can get away with the same kind of loony behavior on-air. Matthews is becoming even more openly partisan on-air--I can't wait to hear his bitching and criticism of McCain, who he used to worship, next week.

NBC is destroying the credibility they have (not with me, or most FReepers) with the American public at large because they have been clueless til now about drawing an audience. I think they will grow to regret letting this loon lead them over the edge.
