When I got to work at 3:45 this morning, Palin hadn’t yet surged on Intrade. Her 50-60 point jump - whatever it was - didn’t happen until probably sometime between 4:15 and 4:45AM.

Haven’t checked Drudge. Will now. Thanks for the info.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin has the
following:

Vice-presidential prospects

“The candidate for the vice-presidency with Republican presumptive nominee Senator John McCain in the 2008 election. Due to her gender, youth, background in government reform, pro-life stance, fiscal and social conservatism, and an approval rating in Alaska generally in the range of 80 to 90 percent, Palin has become the second female vice-presidential nominee of a major party. Palin is supported by a community of online groups.”

God, I hope McCain picks Gov. Palin.

PALIN is the only name on Drudge in ALL CAPS. Think he knows something we don't?

“That’s 2 more years executive experience than Obama has....”

Sorry, it may be executive experience, it is not political experience in the political arena, and although it appears you want to bypass that little fact, the public won’t, and the Dems won’t, and McCain won’t either. He won’t choose her.

WOW, that asserts that she IS the VP running mate for McCain..... does Wikipedia really know something or did someone just slip that in there?

I'm confused as to how running for political office as governor of a state is not "political experience in the political arena"...help me out here...

You know, I noticed that, it has been going back and forth. I suspect someone here is changing it. I’m still very skeptical this is a pump and dump for intrade shares but I’m still hopeful.

One other thing you all might not be aware of. Governor Palin pushed through an “Energy Rebate” check for all Alaskans. On September 12th, each Alaskan will get $1,200 to help with high energy costs. This money comes out of the multi-billion dollar surplus that the State of Alaska has due to high oil prices. I think she would be a perfect pick now since energy is such an issue.

Geez, can’t you read? I said because she only had 2 years of experience, 2 years, get it? That’s nothing in a political life. Compared to Biden’s 36 years of political experience, and it doesn’t matter that hers is “executive” experience if it is only for 2 years. I give up. Palin won’t get it. That’s the bottom line. McCain won’t choose her, unless he’s nuts. Well, now that I think about that....

Compare that to Obama's $1,000 check from confiscated property of oil companies...classic contrast between conservatives and socialists.

Anyone can edit a posting on Wikipedia.

I’m just hoping the person that posted is someone “in the know”.....hopefully, someone with a connection to the McCain campaign or the RNC.

Guess we’ll find out at 12 noon today.

After reading your post about her- Palin sounds like the perfect fit for McCain. She's a bit of a "Maverick" herself. Got my fingers crossed.

Look here moron (I asked you nicely to explain your position and instead you threw the invective so I'll throw it back), you said she had no experience in the political arena. You are simply flat out wrong. Fact of the matter is Obama has LESS POLITICAL EXPERIENCE than Palin does. And he has ZERO executive experience. So maybe I can't read but you are the one who simply cannot comprehend facts.

“This could just be a very strange coincidence, but take a look at this chartered flight from Anchorage, Alaska to Dayton, Ohio. The flight left just after 12:00 PM yesterday and arrived in Dayton’s small municipal airport late last evening.

Obviously, this could just be a return trip of an rich guy from Dayton coming home early to attend the McCain rally, which is bound to be a hot ticket. But there are a lot of Republicans hoping that Alaska’s Governor Sarah Palin was aboard that flight with the same intention of attending the rally, albeit in a very different capacity.

According to the Governor’s website, she hasn’t signed any legislation since Wednesday and Google News doesn’t show any public appearances since the signing of that legislation, which means she’s publicly unaccounted for on Thursday afternoon and evening and may have been on that flight when the country had it’s eyes on the Democratic National Convention.”

“Yes!! I heard she left Anchorage last night by plane to a “litte airport outside of Dayton”...This is according to Fox News and apparently some bloggers who watched Bidens house on the days before the nomination.. I guess we’ll see. “
