It is literally 90 degrees warmer than it was on February 10, 2007. The lectern’s all set up with the new Obama/Biden logo. Obama's plane wasn’t changed – the tip that broke Kerry's choice of Edwards in 2004 -- it simply reads “Change We Can Believe In; www.barackobama.com"). A significantly smaller crowd has turned up for this event than the 17,000 for Obama’s presidential roll out....

Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, issued the following statement in response to Sen. Barack Obama’s selection of Sen. Joe Biden as his vice-presidential running mate.
“Sen. Biden has consistently expressed support for a woman’s right to choose. While we have not agreed with him on every vote, we have a longstanding relationship with Sen. Biden that is open, positive, and constructive, and we are confident this will continue in a new administration under Sen. Obama’s pro-choice leadership.
“Most notably, Sen. Biden has a strong record of opposing judicial nominees with hostile anti-choice records. He voted against George W. Bush’s two anti-choice nominees to the U.S. Supreme Court, John Roberts and Samuel Alito, and he opposed anti-choice Justice Clarence Thomas’ nomination to the Court as well as multiple anti-choice nominees to lower federal courts.
“In addition, Sen. Biden has a strong record in opposition to anti-choice clinic violence and voted to hold anti-choice extremists convicted of violent attacks against doctors and patients at women’s reproductive-health centers accountable for their criminal actions.
“Sen. Biden, who is a cosponsor of the landmark Prevention First Act, also has joined us in supporting commonsense efforts to prevent unintended pregnancy by improving women’s access to birth control, ensuring teens receive accurate sex education, and supporting family-planning programs.”
NARAL Pro-Choice America, which tracks all choice-related votes in Congress, classifies Sen. Biden’s record as mixed choice.

NARAL Pro-Choice America Statement on Democratic National Committee’s Platform Language
Washington, D.C. - Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, hailed the strong pro-choice position outlined in the Democratic National Committee’s 2008 platform. Keenan served as a member of the platform committee and participated in the committee’s meeting this past weekend in Pittsburgh. In addition, Keenan presented testimony at the platform drafting committee meeting two weeks ago in Cleveland.
Keenan said, “The language in this platform reaffirms, in the strongest of terms, the Democratic Party’s solid commitment to a woman’s right to choose as defined by Roe v. Wade. We are pleased that the party adopted language that is consistent with NARAL Pro-Choice America’s work to ensure that women have access to a full range of reproductive-health options, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing safe, legal abortion. We are also pleased that, during the full platform, no debates, changes, or amendments were raised related to a woman’s right to choose.”
Hmmm. WEll, put that with Obama's snarky and racist "Hillary Clinton (D-Punjabs)" email - and he didn't even throw an aid under the bus for that one, and didn't apolojize. but after that he found a money god statue in his pocket, by AMAZING coincidence Biden and The Anointed make a good pair.

June 29, 1992, Biden gave a speech on the senate floor titled: On the Threshold of a New World Order, An American Agenda for the New World Order, Fulfilling the Wilsonian Vision.
Biden said:

With Biden on board their campaign will be a gaffe a minute.
There’s no charisma happening at all. They do not complement each other and Michelle Obama’s dress was frightening (to me anyway).
All the hype and the buildup outweighed the Springfield event. Nobody can live up to that kind of hype, not even “the one”.

My mother in law, a lifelong Democrat - who voted for Bush twice and I believe intends to vote for McCain this year - was watching it. She listened to Biden for a while and said, “Who cares?” and shut the TV off.
